CAS are never going to do that because apart from anything else, being XX is not an eligibility requirement for any women’s sport, and hasn’t been for over 25 years. Because it’s irrelevant.
Read some books or something.
Ignorant post.

It's a way of acknowledging it. I always like posts that link to articles I read.

That's it? The best you've got is an inane ad hominem attack?
It's like talking to a five-year old. But thanks for confirming that you have no idea what you're talking about and are incapable of responding to, yet alone refuting my post.
And ... block.

If you’re going to throw around terms like “biological male” maybe learn something about biology.
She’s a woman.

Good to know. Except she’s not male.

It doesn't say that though does it.
"Populism, left-wing populism, and right-wing politics are not linked to the spread of misinformation."
Read it for yourself.

Neurodiversity as "a singular dominant Western notion imposing itself onto other knowledge systems" would be better understood as "a singular dominant Anglophile notion imposing itself onto other knowledge systems".

I wrote about this in my chapter in www.routledge.com/The-Routledg...
Great article, but doesn't go far enough in recognising that "Northern" in fact = Anglo. Many of the points they make could apply to non-Anglo Northern countries/cultures. Neurodiversity is primarily an Anglo construct.

First up, I was wrong, I meant criminal case. Which the Variety article confirms, in spite of the misleading headline. French law, French prosecutors, criminal proceedings, jail or a fine if confirmed/guilty.
Apart from anything else, no-one sues anyone in France. Different culture & legal system.

Khelif hasn't sued anyone. Her lawyer brought her circumstances to the attention of the French prosecutors' office, who have opened an inquiry under French cyber-harrassment laws - it's a civil case.

I'd include Jessie Hewitson's book in that list. Ostensibly for parents of autistic kids, it provides an easy-to-read summary of current research/understanding and what it all means. Not many books for parents has a section on monotropism.

Autism is a naturally-occurring neurotype that has been integral to our species for at least 100K years. (Yes, there's research). It is caused by being born. It is caused by being a human being.
To suggest otherwise is nothing but eugenics.

No, let’s not look into what is the cause, and instead put that energy and those resources into working out how we can better support the autistic people amongst us.
Stop treating us as if we’re damaged and less-than.

The question mark in the original post.
Also that few people have done as much as Michelle to debunk these kinds of studies.

They start bad. They get a bit better and flatten out as you journey into adulthood. But once you get into old age it goes downhill again.
For all of us, with old age you start to cede agency, willingly or not, and with that goes your ability to manage your environment. Not great for autists.

FWIW, Twitter doesn’t have anything like the reach in Europe. In spite of everything, it’s still mainly a US phenomenon, and even there is largely males.

Marxist? Laughable. Even the so-called left in America would be the centre in most other countries.

Only if you're Maga. The rest of us understand that there can be numerous factors and that climate change exacerbates all it not most of them.
Which is the whole point. Climate change means we can't keep getting away with stuff we have until now, e.g., questionable forest management.

It's not "a study", it was part of a study. Those figures are the outliers. Main author is Scott Stephens, you'll find a list of his publications here: scholar.google.fr/citations?us...
First one listed is: "Climate change and forests of the future."

To “cure” autistic people is to erase us, remove us from the population. Eugenics pure and simple.

No, actual autism rates have not increased. To the contrary. A number of studies (start with Bruga, Univ of Leicester) have confirmed that actual rates have been stable for a loooonnng time.
On the other hand, *diagnosis* rates have indeed increased. (changes in DX criteria, DSM-V etc.)

Also more importantly it's pejorative and harmful to autistic people.
We are not damaged or less-than.

Oh FFS. As ludicrous as suggesting vaccines cause left-handedness.
Nothing "causes" autism. Born autistic, die autistic. There is no non-autistic person to "become" autistic.
Same as it ever was.
