That is it. We need lots of small relatively cheap stuff that can shoot down the big expensive stuff.

Get yourself to Australia. If you were from one of the many countries we have mutual healthcare with, it would be free. Come here and we will treat you for free, but if you don't pay the bill we will not let you back in for a second visit.

If good people like you keep up the pressure and also something real happens about Robodebt, someone in government may find the balls to quietly pressure him to see a bit more of his family.

The french didn't need guns in every house. They had the guillotine, and weren't afraid to use it.

Sacking someone for a decision you don't like is a terrible way to govern. It seems that Brereton was a dreadful choice but was very qualified for the job. The good news is that we have systems in place and Robodebt will be looked at again. Hopefully Brereton will have the decency to resign.

I also will be voting Labor. The Libs do have someone fit to lead but she will never get there. Brdget Archer.

Oh that last line, I am sure he isn't like that.

To be legal, ebikes can't provide any assist over 25kph. 25 is still too fast for shared paths. If they are doing 50 their bikes are probably illegal.

OK, I stand corrected. I had a look at the board and thought there were some decent people.

I assumed from her statement that she voted to not remove Khaled. Board votes don't need to be unanimous.

Lots of them right through the southwest, but very shy. Unlike the semi tame ones on Rottnest. Fox baiting program has seen their numbers improve.

If you had drawn the traditional structure with the emails at the top it would have given away the joke. We read from top to bottom, so I think it is great. It only took half a second to sort it out.

Why read past headlines: There's been a lot of coverage of how Musk built his wealth on government loans and contracts. I go beyond that and demonstrate how he made his fortune on other people's research — and it all originates with federal funding. www.salon.com/2025/02/11/e...

My BIL and his wife did the Bibulman (1000k) track 2 years ago and they trained for months. Doing the Camino late this year and they are already training. Depends on your age, they are 60.

Yeah, Ok mate, blame the solar flares. TBH our atmosphere shields us from any ill effect of solar flares. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

I hate Islam, nearly as much as I hate Judaism, which is nearly as much as I hate Christianity. I don't hate the people, just the bullshit they are born into.

It sure did. At the football and cricket. The fines now are huge so no-one does it anymore.

Have you tried Great Northern? My weeknight drink, Coopers Special Light, has more flavour than full strength GN.

Most politically engaged Aussies are familiar with Project 2025, the rightwingers are cheering it on and the left is horrified.

Osprey tried to build a nest in machinery at Albany port. The port workers put a plastic laundry basket on top of a pole, but the birds ignored it. The port guys added some sticks and the osprey took it on straight away. Been nesting there for years now.

A fantastic new variety is Prince of Orange. Pink skin, yellow flesh. Best roasting spud ever. I have seen seed at Bunnings. I know a spud grower and they are his favourite too.

Very amateur build. I liked the bucket in the kitchen under the disused flue.

Yeah, we don't have koalas or wombats here, but I have been involved in cutting fresh leaf to feed a captive koala. My dog they ae fussy.
comment in response to post
Sorry Ali, that is your wombat. Koalas stick to the leaves, and believe me, they are very fussy.
