Okay, but you have to admit Hakeem Jeffries is onto something with “Captain Chaos.”

There is zero good reason to provide a platform to both-sides this question on what is, for the time being, still our national public broadcaster.

Why expect you to show any more care in the show than you showed in the promotional materials for the show? You started with bad framing echoing the language of our would-be oppressor, and that’s allowed them to pick it up and amplify it even more. You think you’re taking this seriously. You aren’t.

Not good enough. You need to at the very least publicly apologize for the original consent-manufacturing framing of the question. Frankly, I think you should also step down as host. It was unacceptable. You should have known that. And you are no longer a trusted voice.

Everything has been insane since Bush v. Gore and maybe since Watergate.

I think some people are reasonably wondering what country you envision yourself checking up on in the future.

The first time I even became aware of the Property Brothers was because of Scott calling them “the two [insert friend’s name]s.” He was VERY astonished the first time he saw their show.

It’s extremely weird. Only two days ago, I was very thrown by seeing a photo of Zooey Deschanel inexplicably standing with my former housemate.

Even his name is somehow stolen valor. Having a name borrowed from an English poet somehow gives him a patina of literary credibility. Of course his namesake was a fraud as well. Yet our man would nevertheless do well to follow in his footsteps.

It’s like he’s an alpha-dog authority figure, but at the same time, he really likes to shake things up and upset the status quo. Like a renegade cop whose methods might be unconventional but get results. The kind of antihero that Americans hate.

It's not 2005 anymore. We don't need him. We know what to do.

Lefties blame The West Wing for frying a generation of libs brains
But it's Jon Stewart - he's who they all (politically) grew up listening to (lefties as well), very 'both sides', very 'civility' & 'calm down everyone', very, frankly quietist. Just with an edgier vibe.

Yes. House is not in the final season of HOUSE, except in the finale, when he returns as a Force Ghost.

So Montreal fans could boo Tkachuk right out of the division if they don’t watch themselves?

You’re leaving out the NASA potato chip sketch, and that’s an unforgivable omission.

Friedman has drawn many parallels between players’ contract negotiations and his own career over the years that have mostly led me to realize how enormous his ego is and how unpleasant he probably is to deal with.
