I once got punctured on Eccles Pike by a hedgehog prong/spike

What is that. Imagine an Edwardian seeing that; or even describing that experience to someone 20 years ago. Our expectations are so low. I do remember auctions with similar types of things in 2000. But depressing. Car boots are more lovingly set out.

This is how you end up with Gatorade watering crops.

I now have my second easiest and lost the bottom of the cassette. I’ll have to settle.

They were. I was actually shopping for my daughter. 70% of what I buy is usually ‘boys’ or it’s all washed out pastels and being kind/nice/ messages with frills. Not bold, primary colours: With science or dinosaurs. She likes pink and unicorns but also other stuff.

Who says we don’t live in a car brain world. About half of the jumpers today had cars on them. Conditioning

Crazy. Undertaking. Overtaking

Forgot to post the picture of the road I’m talking about. But it’s obvious hopefully

Then the driver - who on a slow moving roundabout just starts driving out whilst I’m on it and they’re looking at me. Dead eye. And carry on driving towards me. I had to stop. In the roundabout. to not get hit. I passed her in the queue. There were more too.

Nor should it’s sister road be dual lane. And 40. (Or certainly was 40 2 years ago.) This can be one of the most terrifying roads in weather like today. It was today. Race track. And entrance to university sports facilities where kids play at the weekend.

Too narrow. Restricted height. Uneven historic cobblestone on inclines. Blind bends at pinch points. I think I may have left some out.

Yeah round the frames, under the sills. You’d be surprised how much air was moving between floors. Sealing edges and carpets etc. required.

I am not an expert. But that feels fairly similar to our home that is thermally not good. You may be better seeking drafts and sealing those. We did an air test to find a base position- unusual to do - but eye opening where leaks were. Around windows, under sills, floorboards etc lots and lots.

I wonder if they are just access controls? They don’t look particularly robust.

It kind of defeats the point. Either it’s causing harm or it isn’t. If it isn’t and someone could live in it. Then why refuse permission retrospectively. If they are ok as social housing they aren’t causing harm. It’s circular. Planning isn’t a punishment.

Absolutely.

I know there are issues. But this also probably tracks the deregulation bars - where the party ended long before 12 and only holds remnants swaying no longer talking, nursing warm pints. Consolidating parties in to fewer locations like 20 years ago may be good in long run.

Yeah, but our bin day was changed from a regular Friday to a one off Sunday. A little slack is ok.

Tell me about it. But then again. I stopped knowing what day off the week it was a couple of days ago

I could see how that might work, I only got occasional stories of adjacent ones during the ltn process. I am reluctant to join WhatsApp groups though n general. Haha.

We chat when we bump into neighbours- catch up on families- but I am very thankful there isn’t a whatsapp. Perhaps there is. 🫢

I hate to say this too but that crossing that is immediately on the roundabout is very undutch. And probably not very safe. And the random approach to each arm seems to be from another age too. Unfortunately it’s fairly common and not very good. Sorry.

Hi Rich. That’s an incredibly low bar. There’s a roundabout in Bispham,Blackpool - that has had zebras n 3 arms since about the 90s that I remember- they’ve got to be pretty common.

Good point. I am looking forwards to Campeanaerts at Visma though. If he does some of the early probing for WVA. Use the break maybe. He may even get a win if the other hitters man mark each other.

Reckon it is something like Rappers Delight. But my go to reference is The strokes- is this it. When the Bass kicks in I am back listening to the album for the first time- nearly 25years old m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgqp...

Haha. I just run to the defence. As imagine the horrors that would be witnessed if there was a choice. 🤢

I like the Jersey. Timeless. chariots of Fire stuff. Above politics and all the other stuff the Union Jack is bogged down in. Plus easy to spot. Dutch wear thirds. Just think of Cav crossing the line after Thomas’ lead out. Not only that, but Union Jack kits date so badly- like Cool Britannia stuff

Emphasises how it has always been a choice. We chose what private property can be left in public places and when. And car parking over anything else destroys the public realm.

95% of tv series and 3hr films only have enough idea for a 90min film or a decent short.
