Hey Kaisen, just finished up and loved my time with my new family. Wondering if you can name any particular inspirations you had? I'd love to try out some of the games that inspired this wild ride of a game (or if anyone else has any recommends)

I love this syntax, such a nice intuitive way to code tween sequences

Yeah the feed over here is really nice, even on the discover feed. I haven't spent much time on any social media for a long whiles now but bsky has gotten me back into it, super nice seeing what everones up to

Yeah all in all the combat is pretty boring. The draw magic system is like, cool in theory but standing there spamming draw to stack up on magic is boring. I replayed it a couple years ago and it's for sure my nostalgia glasses that kept me going 😅

Looking nice so far

FF8 was my first FF so I'm super nostalgic for it despite it's shortcomings. My guess would be that the designers wanted to generate moments where the players are close to losing but make an epic comeback via limit breaks

I'm avoiding any gameplay vids for now cause I wanna go in blind, but thank you! I loved PK, so im super excited to see how this one pans out 😁

Not a studio (yet) but I am in Germany :D

I feel this. Thinking long term it might be worth keeping a list of all links posted online in case anything changes

Been prototyping with Godot for a while now, been really enjoying it and I'm looking forward to building something concrete with it :D

I'm reading that as you as the developer have disclosure over the sales data that you have access to. Valve has disclosure over the sales data that it has access to. Just had a quick YT search and found a vid with 250k views where they literally show a screenshot of the steam sales overview.

Nice!

Also, I can't find a link to your YT, I'd like to check em out!

As far as I know, devs are allowed to disclose their sales data, I've seen plenty of YT vids where they share. They opened it up in 2018 (unless they've since reverted this change?) "... the partner can share sales data about their game as they see fit." steamcommunity.com/groups/steam...

Yeah! I love good UI, especially in games where you've got soooo much information and somehow the designers make it clear to read and nice to navigate/control, super inspiring. I imagine a small scoped sim would still off heaps of learning potential

Banger game, banger soundtrack

With ya on that, I'd love to try my hand at something like this some day. I'm sure it will get very complex and pose many great UX / UI challenges. Lots of opportunities to learn!
