Great, now I'm imagining he's been feeding his jizz to racks of servers in hopes of finally creating something that will say it loves him

I'm glad I was born when I was. My ADHD ass can't judge distance which makes using a map super difficult and I used to get lost all the time so I never went anywhere. My world is a lot more open now.

Yeah, like what? Are you mad he hasn't taken all my rights away yet? Mad he hasn't abducted all brown people yet? Mad that the poor aren't completely destroyed yet? Are you fine poking the rabid dog because you'll be safe if you manage to rile him up?

Like resist, yes. Don't comply in advance. All that jazz. But this feels like onlookers taunting a bully to take a swing because they know someone else is the target.

I wouldn't use that as a metric, if only because if one ever happens it'll be used as "proof" forever even if it's the first one in 100 years.

Bro is experiencing racialization on a much milder scale than people of color handle every day of their lives and he cannot handle it. Sounds about white!

Oh no I need to know what the Onion says about Hegseth's tattoos

Oh, no kidding? I think I misunderstand what "pro bono" means, in that case. My paranoid self just assumes that means "pay afterwards instead of upfront" but I get the feeling I'm wrong if you're the one mentioning it. I trust you. Thank you for your answer!

How does one obtain legal support in order to do activism if they're not well-off enough to have a lawyer on retainer? Or is that not even necessary? I've never given such a thing much thought because I don't have lawyer-having money so I very honestly don't know how that works.

In this instance "smart" is probably short for "agrees with me on a lot of things"

I'm confused. Are phoenix tattoos some kind of dog whistle now? I tried googling it before asking and haven't found anything

You can't be a leftist and defend gen-AI. Because it requires saying that the product is more important than people who make it, and if people don't come first, you're not a leftist. Gen-AI doesn't free a person from a menial assembly line job. It makes an artist unable to pursue their passion.

Not to say leftists don't struggle to contend with internalized misogyny, but this dude pretending his take is leftist and everyone pushing back are just weak-minded liberals is hilariously and transparently bad faith.

Oh, my bad. I'm joking. I was also told to sit down and shut up, got sent to the principal and school counselor, all that. By their logic, if boys being taught some self-control is mean then I should never have recovered from the nightmare I was put through.

A tragedy, to be sure

My (now 17 yo) son and I had had a lot of conversations bc he had a lot of anxieties about being "bad" but it was bc he observed the behavior of his peers and didn't want people to think he was like that, too. He now knows that by being kind and respectful people won't think that. 🤷

I already knew that, but thank you.

I could live a hundred lifetimes and still never even approach being one tenth as badass as this.
