I'm imagining 1 as like a Bioware RPG where the man vs. snake dichotomy replaces the morality system.

There is something incredible about how he is doing the Twitter play all over again--beds in the office, meaningless tech buzzwords, shit that sounds like a good idea to a layman like "rewrite the entire code base!" Just mindlessly invoking Silicon Valley tech bro rituals.

yes, lazy + mason is what I had in mind. lazy is...fine, I guess? I'd probably feel it wasn't necessary if plugin dependency hell wasn't so common with nvim setups. don't understand recommending mason to new users, though. surely using your system's package manager is the first resort?

It's not nearly as nitpick-y as your examples but Graphic Herbalism has always stood out to me as the best mod for any game ever. It's a very simple change but I can't imagine playing without it.

Yep! There's still a distressing amount of fixed form code in the wild, is my understanding. F90 just means "modern Fortran", since that's where the hard break is. My favorite relic is that you *still* have to opt out of implicit typing, and the types it infers are based on the variable names...

An older coworker once explained to me what fixed form Fortran was like and it felt to me like meeting someone who had lived through the Great Depression.

The Cumaean looked up at Dorcas with eyes that seemed as bright as the stars. "Words are symbols. Merryn chooses to delimit magic as that which does not exist . . . and so it does not exist. If you choose to call what we are about to do here magic, then magic lives while we do it.

It's not a big deal, but I definitely appreciate when RPGs offer the occasional plot-justified offramp from the main story to mess around awhile, if only to remind me that the side content exists before I rush through the rest of the game.

It's a cool concept but really half-baked execution. Balmora is probably the best designed city in that game, it feels much bigger and more populated than it is.

NeoVim + Kitty panels at home. Work is all remote servers so Tmux is pretty necessary, but it messes with Kitty's shell integration. Direly need a solution for persistent remote sessions that doesn't.
