Climate change is a kitchen table issue. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/03/o...

The cost of renewable energy will fall up to 11% in 2025 and nearly 50% in the next decade. Not even tariffs can stop people and businesses from making the smart choice to save money www.reuters.com/sustainabili...

Can confirm: midtown is less congested. Hooray for good policy that makes New York more livable!

ICYMI heat pumps outpaced gas furnace sales last year by 37%. Homeowners want cheaper, cleaner appliances. www.canarymedia.com/articles/hea...

After three weeks of congestion pricing, @mta.info reports there are 51% fewer crashes and injuries compared to the same period in 2024. www.nbcnewyork.com/new-york-cit...

Thank you @mta.info for helping New Yorkers breathe better.

Every time I see an AI assistant pop up on a document, app or software without me asking for it, I can’t help but think of Clippy.

I’m feeling relief that there will be a ceasefire in Gaza. And I’m so sad and angry that we could have had a deal a year ago, and saved tens of thousands of lives. The majority of people in Israel/Palestine don’t want war, death, destruction and despair. They want to live with safety and dignity.

This is…so good! Thanks to @govkathleenhochul.bsky.social and @mta.info for helping make our city safer, less polluted, and more livable by kicking off #congestionpricing www.nytimes.com/2025/01/13/n...

🚛 Props to the @nycsanitation.bsky.social workers blasting Journey this morning. Exactly what I needed 🤘🏻

A common myth is that climate is just a wealthy elite cultural issue. But it's actually as kitchen table as it gets. As insurance rates skyrocket, working families can't afford to insure homes. Floods, droughts, fires, storms, are raising your bills, even if the impacts don't directly affect you.

We have a lot in the works for 2025, but we’re especially excited to see Scenic Hill Solar’s historic project benefiting the entire @uark.bsky.social system take shape. Read more about the cost savings & economic growth this project will bring.☀️ www.triplepundit.com/story/2024/s...

📅 Applications for the first round of Climate United NEXT are due in 3 weeks! We're providing grants of up to $300k to help communities develop local clean energy projects. This round will support projects serving Native communities. Learn more and apply --> weareclimateunited.org/next-program

This @annielowrey.bsky.social piece does a great job of getting into the nuances of the economic and cultural drivers that resulted in Trump’s appeal to working class voters and his electoral win www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

New report from @rewiringamerica.bsky.social on the benefits of upgrading homes and businesses just dropped. Electrifying appliances can: 🤑 Save up to $60 billion in annual energy bills 🏥 Prevent 3,400 premature deaths 😷 Result in 220,000 fewer asthma attacks www.nytimes.com/2024/12/10/c...

💯 this. U.S. Dept. Of Energy and partners have been doing some good research into what those meaningful community benefits should look like, and best practices for deployment. www.energy.gov/communitysol...
