Oh I’d love to visit Orkney! I’ve been to Shetland but never Orkney. I hear it’s quite special and have always wanted to visit Skara Brae since reading The Boy with the Bronze Axe as a kid.

It's an excellent museum with great exhibitions and informative staff! It sounds like you had a lovely time. Hopefully, you can visit Finland and its forests soon! Happy to show fellow Scottish forestry folk around 😀 Here's a Finnish forest for no reason other than I like to share their beauty 🙂

Why are you all still active on Twitter? How do you justify posting and resharing things there? You could all be leading by example. All credible journalists, politicians, organisations, charities, universities etc. should be abandoning the platform. I intend to. And maybe Meta too.

There are already many articles for which there is more attention on Bluesky than on other comparable micro-blogging sites, meaning the academic community and the general public have clearly adopted Bluesky as one of its core places to disseminate and discuss new research. A Place of Joy.
