True in probably all countries with significant food advertisement; nobody wants to believe unkind the foods they want to eat. It's an easy lie to sell.
Meanwhile, ag gag laws doing their worst to stop the truth.
It can be depressing, but at least people don't want to be evil? It's a start, maybe.

Don't forget zoonotic illnesses. Feedlot cows are confined & stressed creating disease opportunity, but grazing cows have longer exposure to diseases from wild animals.
& the antibiotic resistance threatening to upend medicine as we know it & return us to the dark ages of death by dirty paper cut.

Funny thing, most of the plant based leathers appear to be plastic too (polyurethane with a little plant fiber mixed in to greenwash).
Not that there's anything wrong with plastic if it's made right & doesn't get thrown out after one use; studies show it's still more eco friendly than animal hide.
