Yup. Riders need function stations- anything more taking funding away from an expanded network. The fancy stations are why coverage shows the high cost of mass transit, and why politicians lose interest and support with mass transit projects

Picked for the optics- it’s a marketing play that needs violent protestors tied to the immigration issue. That turbo boosts support for potus.

Replace that with one market rate skyscraper and we have space for a big park in Queens

Build more market rate homes = Lower rents. It’s that simple. 📉

‪Deportation threats create.. “a nearly free source of labor… they can exploit for cheap labor without fear of retribution. The likelihood of an illegal immigrant going to authorities is extremely low, due to fear of deportation.”‬ ‪

During Operation Wetback, the fear of deportation became a weapon against workers. Employers used the constant threat of removal to suppress wages and crush labor demands. Can’t negotiate when you’re afraid to exist. Deportability = control. Always has been. 💼⚖️

1954: “Operation Wetback” under Eisenhower deported hundreds of thousands of Mexican immigrants in military-style raids. Many were U.S. citizens of Mexican descent. The operation had strong public support at the time, with little organized protest, even from Mexican-American civil rights groups. 🇺🇸📜

Debt’s not always the enemy. Borrowing to fix your car so you can get to work? Fine. Borrowing for a shiny watch you don’t need? Stupid. Tax cuts in a boom are that watch, flashy, pointless, and you’re still broke.

Dumping more cash into an already hot economy is like cranking the heat in a sauna. Everyone’s sweating, prices shoot up: houses, stocks, you name it. Can’t buy a home? Don’t blame your coffee habit; blame the policy.

Save when it’s sunny, spend when it’s raining. This isn’t brain surgery—it’s basic logic. Fiscal responsibility beats political stunts every day of the week. Let’s stop acting like it doesn’t.

They won the genetic lottery. But somehow, we’ve convinced ourselves this is “fair.”

‪With the new tax cuts AND ending tariffs, U.S. debt would soar—debt-to-GDP could hit 129%–133% by 2034, blowing past the post-WWII record and adding trillions to deficits. And yes, the tarrifs will end- they are too damaging. Fiscal discipline? Nowhere in sight‬

$4 trillion in tax cuts (they were supposed to sunset), plus the $2.8 trillion or so shortfall, plus another $2.5 trillion when the tariffs end. Yeesh. Gen Z is cooked

Is smoke making you dumber? Just 5 days of wildfire exposure = 6% cognitive decline in adults (Environmental Health, 2023). How clean is your THINKING air today? Test it → @habitatmap.bsky.social

Why do athletes collapse in "moderate" smoke? PM2.5 reduces oxygen intake by 15% during exertion (Stanford, 2022). Could YOUR workout air be sabotaging you? Track real-time exposure ↓ @habitatmap.bsky.social
