if only a place like that, easily accessible by anybody who could see it, were to exist. some kind of media driven by social interactions. gosh, what an idea.
comment in response to post
that sure would make it easy for people to make complaints en masse about this kind of content which would clearly breach DTRPG's code of conduct.

thanks fren, yeah I'm fine, I'm just still pissed off, fifteen hours later.

not gonna be able to sleep tonight. my heart is going full pelt again. thanks twatmonger, you're a real bellend.
comment in response to post
honestly can't stop thinking about it. i dunno whether to report it - because this twat is a hazard to others - or to just let it go - because we shouldn't involve cops (and they don't do fuck all anyway).
comment in response to post
i do feel partially responsible, but as with so many things in the world right now, you can just choose not to escalate things? like, is chucking a bottle of what could feasibly have been piss a justifiable response to me tapping a car with my hand?
comment in response to post
i was actually shaking when i got to work, and the adrenaline rush really fucked my day up. this prick, this twat, this nob really got under my skin, and all i have is a make and model and colour, a reg plate, and a rough description of the driver.

another ten seconds down the road and he's stopped again at lights, so i give him the archer's salute, and in classic bloke response, he shouts something completely incomprehensible out of the window at me.
comment in response to post
luckily i didn't come off, but a) i was expecting it; b) i wasn't going all that fast; and c) i'm pretty sturdy. anyone of these facts could not have been true, ignoring the possibility of the missile causing a collision between cars. this had a high chance of causing serious harm.
comment in response to post
the car was not in the lane next to me but the one over from that, so he's thrown it out of a window and across a lane of live traffic at a cyclist. this is astonishingly stupid, and one of the most dangerous things i have seen a driver do to a cyclist.
comment in response to post
sure enough, twenty seconds down the road, what feels like a plastic bottle with some liquid in flies into the side of my abdomen, bouncing off and presumably landing in the traffic next to me. i look up to see the Cupra, and shout out the numberplate and "i see you".
comment in response to post
the car is now stuck in traffic (and has blocked the cycle lane) so off i pop round back in front and off on my way. but i suspect retaliation is inbound.
comment in response to post
i went behind the car, and being annoyed enough to express my displeasure, tapped my knuckles on the rear light enclosure (crucially, plastic, tough, with no force; extremely unlikely to mark or break). armed with only a voice or a bell, this is pretty much my only recourse against poor driving.

lots of motorists pull out from the side roads into the cycle lane to get better positioning to get into the main road, which is busy enough to make this hard. this had happened to me several times already so i was on the defensive when a black Seat Cupra pulled out so quickly that i had to swerve.

to be clear, i am not saying this is "dog bites man" journalism, it's a very good article which avoids sensationalist language and quietly gets across the point that DTRPG have made a shockingly short-sighted decision that will actively damage their reputation with leftist game buyers.

this one was such a bizarre response to something which i did (although probably shouldn't) that i assume the motorist had something seriously bad happen to them earlier in the day

unfortunately they are squeaky clean on that front. disappointing. good idea though.

literally not going to be able to stop thinking about this today so that's great, thanks adrenaline.

Chris Bissette made a little solo game called A DISCOVERIE OF WITCHES which is about English witch trials, would that do the trick?

this and no other reason, is what i am led to believe.

come to West Yorkshire, we got this for you

this was all very provable, i could have just searched for this information rather than relying on my apparently misinformed mind.

seems like a misnomer to me, then. north America is loads of countries.

it looks so good Francita! I miss you, let's work together again soon!

my favourites are @duamn.bsky.social (ghostbox, Noctis Labyrinth), @byfrancita.bsky.social (/a loud noise in a quiet place/), @falconianp.bsky.social, @basiliskonline.bsky.social, and @oddsandents.bsky.social (I Crave The Loop, Trash to Treasure). But I've worked with so many!
comment in response to post
oh, that's annoying. i only have the refining tool left to buy, really hoping there's enough treasure left in the game to get it otherwise i'm gonna be annoyed.

overall, it's been a fun game to play. i think i have close to 100 hrs of play on it now; i probably have three more in "guided" mode, which i'll do next week. and then that'll be it; i don't really have any interest in the survival modes or the level replays, although i might do a few.

the technical aspects: the graphics were a bit bright and cartoony compared to the first reboot, but i could see they were better. music and sfx were really good, and the voice acting was ace (not too many hammy russian accents!). very few glitches compared to TR as well.

i enjoyed the story a lot, which i later realised was written by Rhiannon Pratchett. there were a few moments that i felt were daft & contrived, but i felt for the main protagonists and antagonists, they were well characterised. dialogue was decent, but the Documents lacked any emotional weight.

the shop where you can spend the byzantine coins is a goofy add-on and i'm not a huge fan. there are also A LOT of weapons, many of which i haven't been able to find, annoying. there's also this stupid gatcha/ccg thing which i have completely ignored. is that how you get the final weapons? maybe.
comment in response to post
the main game is really fun! crafting improvised weapons and the various stealth kill modes are a great addition to the engine from the first reboot. they also made good changes to the map system, including adding the maps and adventurer satchels which help you find the extra stuff.

the two other DLCs that got bundled are the Baba Yaga quest, which was both fun and terrifying, and the Lara's Nightmare mission in the mansion, which sucks, is extremely hard and also a bit harrowing. cannot recommend.
comment in response to post
i presume it's the twentieth anniversary of the original Tomb Raider. the "Blood Ties" DLC which gets bundled with this has some really fun easter eggs around TRI and TRII, which was a treat. this was a nice little fetch quest in the mansion with zero chance of death (so not like the TRII mansion).
