I can just see the European and Asian research labs rubbing their hands in glee...

My reading is that, for the most part, there is no intent. Too many photographers are just happy to have a nude model to work with, they never think about what they're trying to express through the image or even why they shoot the image. Not that different from any other photographic field, I guess.

Off unless I’m doing multiple exposures with one part of the subject’s body not moving.

The Plus ? Baaaaaad !

I so wish I could make it... But it doesn't align with my work trips to London :-(

A note for those of you not in the states, the USPS charges nearly $12 to ship one of these to Europe. We don't have the ❤️ to pass this along to you, nor the margin to eat the cost. If you are interested in 2+ titles, we can make that work, drop us an e-mail. F2.8Press@outlook(dot)com Cheers!

I think I'll try and time something for next time I'm in the states. Meanwhile, I might just submit something to you.

I have just updated the Photosynthesis page on my portfolio with additional links: www.benfphotography.com/portfolio/ph...

I think so, at the bottom of the Photosynthesis section there's the vimeo video, and I think a link to some of the articles. I'll update that.

Damn... That's going to be too much postage for European me...

I imagine you ship from the US?

Thanks. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I have a few articles out there as well if you want to read about the project.

Fan-effing-tastic !!!

I've never tried that, but I do very similar things in camera ;-)

Great image. Can you clarify what "double negative" means in this context ? #believeinfilm

Thanks John !

Oh, I'm not aiming for perfection. Drives the other guy in my lab nuts, he's the kind that would redo an image 15 times for some small margin of improvement. I don't have that patience ;-)

Still needs another pass, the blacks aren't quite as black as I'd like. I think this may be because the negative isn't perfectly flat, but that's the nature of a paper negative ;-)

Looks like I had a brain fart. I meant to write "nudes". Guess I'm not as over the flu as I thought I was.

You may very well be correct. I hope @tjconroy.bsky.social will tell us !

That is mindblowingly cool !
