Microblogging is short-form blogging. It's like a combination of text text messaging + blogging. Sites like Bluesky, Twitter, and Instagram are considered microblogging platforms.
Pillowfort encourages long form blogging (ie- paragraphs).

While it certainly was an error on our part we took situation seriously and admitted our fault and we have remained consistent on the matter. We have not had any further incidents of this nature in the 6 years this happened.

At the time we immediately admitted we made a mistake, restored the account that had been unfairly penalized, and updated our ToS to avoid such incidents in the future. We also processed refunds for eligible users who no longer wanted to use Pillowfort.

Hi! First of all, thank you for holding us accountable.
The situation you referred to happened almost 6 years ago. We still regret letting our users down with our moderation system at the time. In our next reply we will address what actions we took then.

The biggest difference is Bluesky is a de-centralized microblogging platform while as Pillowfort is blogging platform.
