Leela is one of my favorite companions in the classic show, she was so much fun

What? It was so good, the first time the show actually convinced me Cybermen were a threat to the main characters
Plus putting Clara in that leadership position setting up her arc of becoming more and more like the Doctor

That only incentivizes governments to make beliefs illegal to keep power. If it’s declared tmrw that any protest in support of palestine is a terrorist threat and illegal (which it shouldn’t be, but if it is) then suddenly ppl who support palestine can’t hold office. Far less extreme examples happen

Trump is a terrible person who absolutely should not be president, but it’s not because he’s a criminal. It’s bc of the specific crimes
Criminals should not be barred from office, that encourages the gov to make opposing beliefs a felony. It’s not bad we elected a criminal, but an insurrectionist

I really liked the episode! I did have two questions. What’s the name of Phosphorus’ son? And how long did it take for Batman to catch Phosphorus?

Yes!! I wanted her to become a companion so bad, it was such a well written sequence and relationship

That’s all Doctor Who tbh. Everything is told to us. This episode actually did have a level just showing us things without telling (the contents of the gay woman’s letter, the sequence of everyone getting hope from Joy, the Doctor’s reaction to his past self). They do that part pretty well

A. We should be calling her Romani, that word is a slur
B. It was because he thought it was right. He didn’t want her to be alone but wanted to find the Bride, and thought that to be the best solution

Wait so is Clayface going to be a prequel then? Or did he somehow survive that?

Dang, is it available anywhere in the US that you know of?

Not Tennant, but Smith for sure. There are multiple instances where he was judging folks for showing physical attraction (A Christmas Carol for example) and in A Good Man Goes to War it didn’t even occur to him that Amy and Rory might have sex while living together in the TARDIS

I’ve been loving the show! Super interested to know, how long have each of the Commandos been in jail? Some of them really didn’t deserve it

This episode was fantastic! I was hooked the entire time and loved Weasel’s backstory - so tragic. How long has Weasel been in prison for this? I hope he gets out!

While I agree it’s good to dial back the overarching stuff, there were definitely things that needed following up on. Guillermo was on the verge of a breakdown, and now theyre just making him the worst type of finance bro. Multiple ableist jokes this season too, overall not pleased

Really? I’ve been so frustrated with this season. Everyone feels very out of character most of the time, no interesting follow up from any past storylines, and a lot of the stuff they’re doing just isn’t as funny or interesting as it used to be imo

It’s so funny experiencing Classic Doctor Who. I hated the First Doctor, but man were his story where he just did nothing funny

Yes, Musk sucks. That said:
Let’s not accuse ppl of pretending to be autistic, it’s infatilizing to say that bad ppl can’t be autistic
Also, “psychopath” is a diagnostic term, not a generic insult meaning “evil person”
Ableist post all around tbh

It’s not really a follow up, it just uses some of the same events. Gunn has said that The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker S1 are vaguely similar to events that happened in the DCU
While I agree it’s needlessly confusing, it is distinct from being a follow up

I cried so hard in the episode and they made him so realistic. I figured out the twist about Sam during the car ride to the meeting, but then watching GI slowly piece it together with the dog whistles was incredibly well done

To be fair I think this is an odd criterion. Home Alone is fantastic any time of year and it’s inarguably a Christmas movie

I watched it for the first time recently and yeah, very agreed. I can see what they meant to do with him, but I just groaned whenever he showed up
Same with Akio and Kyoichi. Like I get what they were going for and they accomplished it, it just means I want them onscreen as little as possible
