So that’s it. Star Radio in Cambridge is now Hits Radio. Understandably, people are angry, but those who write ‘I will NEVER listen to this station again’ will undoubtably find themself listening in the future. While sad a local station goes national, it’s a business at the end of the day.

We currently have some issues with phone calls into our hospitals – you may experience problems with connection or poor sound quality. We’re sorry for any inconvenience – teams are working as quickly as possible to get this fixed. Thank you for your patience and co-operation.

The good thing about having always used public transport, is knowing the lesser known services that can get you to your destination, with few stops. The 275 from Carousel was my choice from Headington to Oxford City Centre. Besides traffic, the journey was quick, bus empty!

That minimal, calming desk setup👌.

Finally managed to get my iPod Nano from 2008 working again and boy, it's a throwback! #Apple #iPod #music

Reflecting on the change of commercial radio in the UK this evening, as this week Global announce schedule changes to Heart, Capital and Smooth, following a nations approach and winding down of regional shows. It's a shame, but here's the way I look at it - a short thread 🧵 1/4

This is a fantastic programme and opportunity for digital health SMEs and start-ups to gain unparalleled insights into the processes, structures and systems that guide the adoption of innovative solutions across the NHS ⬇️.

Does someone need to remind Lord Sugar or the producers of #TheApprentice, that Banbury is in Oxfordshire, not Warwickshire? 🤔

No mid-week lull here, but a very productive Wednesday! 🎧 Launched the new series of @thehilloxford.bsky.social Digital Innovation Podcast. 🗣️ Great meeting with other comms colleagues about upcoming stories and shared knowledge. 🤝 Begun onboarding a new volunteer newsletter editor at the charity!

Cosy WFH vibes this afternoon. A day of meetings, strategy on upcoming communication plans and a spot of design.

Great to see hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting being promoted on TV again. This report from ITV News Meridian shines a spotlight on Hospital Radio Reading - one of many stations that offer a bespoke radio service.

Managed to get my old iPod Nano from 2008 working! 1,240 songs still stored on there, some no longer available on Apple Music. But I’m compiling the classics into one handy playlist! 🎉 #iPod #Apple

Found this yellow iPod Nano in a draw a couple of years ago and kept it for nostalgia. Roll on a few years later and I’ve ordered a charging cane for it. So let’s see if it charges and ultimately what songs (if any!) are still on it. #Apple #iPod #iPodNano

A great opportunity for digital innovators looking to get their products into the NHS. Our 2024 cohort are continuing to progress onto great things - you could do the same this year!

SUL SUL 💚 Happy 25th anniversary to #TheSims! 🎉 music.apple.com/gb/playlist/... DAG DAG! 👋🏻

Spent my morning creating a 30 second video promo for an upcoming podcast series at work. Needless to say, the longest part of this process was finding clips that could tease the episode!

#CreativeAppleGuy I've had my M2 iPad Air for a little over a month now. While it's just like any other iPad I've owned, it does come with some advantages over my old 2020. Read and subscribe: creativeappleguy.substack.com/p/one-month-... #Apple #iPad

How can I see more accounts from the UK on here? I appear to have lots of American politics…

Sul Sul 👋🏻! Can you believe #TheSims is 25 years old! A couple of years ago I had some time on my hands and found all of the music from The Sims 1, 2, 3 and 4 on Apple Music and created the ULTIMATE SIMS PLAYLIST! Take a listen here: music.apple.com/gb/playlist/...

Switching up the setup this Saturday, as I’m doing some work from the iPad. Believe it or not, I haven’t used Stage Manager before as I’ve never felt the need to, but I have to say it’s proving to be quite a valuable thing to have kept on!

The radio industry has changed since I studied it as my degree 2008-2010. But hey, it's commercial radio, it's a business, while sad many will lose jobs. However, time for health & wellbeing radio, community radio and BBC Local Radio to step up to the plate and provide local voices & info.

An early morning and return trip through Oxford. Sunrises, electric buses and tractors. #Photography #Oxford

We've seen what's happened on X, how can we rely on community moderation on platforms these days? How are posts on here moderated, if at all? Will keep up with Threads for now, as I feel like I have a niche community... but we'll see. Also going to continue with this platform too!

First day back at work vibes for 2025. Though, still lots to do to my home office to make it more homely and less like a blank space. Let's see how this develops this year!A

Happy New Year to you 🎉! Love the New Year notification the #AppleWatch gives you. (Yes, 22mins late because I had it on sleep mode!) Let’s see what 2025 brings.

Just popping on to write this message before the networks get clogged up (if you're of an age, you'll understand 😂). No resolutions for 2025, rather some things I wanna do, including resuming my UI Design work again. Thanks as always for your company and support. Here's to 2025, cheers 🥤!
