Elon Musk reportedly spent $40M on #Superbowl ads calling #USAID wasteful. Here’s how we would’ve spent that $$: 🏈Bought 29K tons of produce and vegetable oil from American farmers to feed people, reducing mass migration youtu.be/PqUESHfuO_8 #saveforeignaid

Musk reportedly spent $40M on #Superbowl ads calling #USAID wasteful. Here’s how we would’ve spent that $$: 🏈Purchased HIV treatment from U.S. pharma companies to keep 1M pp alive for 1 year. Tell Congress to youtu.be/PqUESHfuO_8 #saveforeignaid and #standwithUSAID

I will say this again When, not if, the shit hits the fan the politicians will cover their ass before they help you and yours. Your neighbors, your co-workers, your church friends, and the buddy from the gym are who have your back. Get to know them. Let them get to know you!

Respectfully disagree with @marcelias.bsky.social we need to get to know our neighbors and utilize public goods (schools, libraries, parks, city council meetings) like never before. You lawyers and people in power do you and make your tip lists on how to oppose free.

This is what happens in red states, they try to wipe out the largest school district.

It would be great if these independent media companies popping up could join together - in a way that stays independent - to provide varied topic coverage - And to make it affordable to read all of them! I love you all, but my pockets aren’t that deep!

Does anyone fill out an actual bingo card for the year? I am seriously considering it just to keep me entertained.

Reading, writing and arithmetic won’t help our kids thrive. We need to start teaching 3 other skills. #schoolgardens #socialskills

What is the goal of books? Share knowledge, give exposure to new ideas, and sometimes provide a healthy escape. Reading it OR listening to it completes that goal. Stop shaming people for HOW they improve themselves and, in turn, society. Ride off on your high horse to some other place!

Life is too short mentioned in relation to books always makes me think of the Twilight Zone. Episode is called Time Enough at Last. If you haven't seen it watch it. If you have seen it don't spoil it for anyone else!

I passed the Praxis to get into my transition to teaching program! Excited to start classes in January!

Proof your public library loves you: they leave you alone while you read, they don’t mind when you bring your kids over, and they’ll let you borrow any of their books, even the hardcovers

RFK Jr may be why I start growing more of my own produce. If he is getting rid of the people inspecting the food or limiting what they can do, I may have no choice. I worked in grocery for 15+ years. The number of recalls I handled on produce was frightening even with the correct protocols.

I haven't read this yet…. Still she should live her adult life any damn way she wants and if people want to give her money for that then that's on those adults. If no one is being hurt, endangered, or coerced good on her.

I have been at this fight for a while. If you are new to how to make a difference and have been swallowed by overwhelm let me offer a little guidance. 1/6

Dems/media condemning Joe for pardoning Hunter right after a psycho who has spent 4 years ranting that he was going to go after him is the most toxic kind of phony virtue signaling imaginable. Don’t forget to pat yourselves on the back from your perches on the moral high ground.

If Punky Brewster orBlossom had it I might have! #genX

Every school should have a cut flower garden. I think school vegetable gardens are lacking something our kids need more than anything. The visible emotional response of unexpected joy a bouquet of flowers has on a person. 1/3 #schoolgardens

How, for years, families have ventured out to get a Christmas tree and come back unharmed, by each other, is a shocking statistic.

Putting my congress people on speed dial. Really just my senators. I respect my congressman Andre Carson.

This is your reminder to get a library card. They have so many services and basically all of them are free.
