Not that I think this system is good and should stay the same, but just trying to clarify that itโ€™s not like nothing was done. We just have too many people who โ€œrepresentโ€ us refusing to stand on business unless it directly aids themselves

The process is just generally not understood. Yes the whole point is removal from office and remedying whatever reason brought the charges, but the senate has acquitted every president that couldโ€™ve been impeached and removed. Johnson, Nixon and Trump did not get away consequence free.

He was impeached by the house but never convicted by the senate. So he WAS impeached (think Clinton) but he couldnโ€™t be removed from office by a senate majority
