There was a time where people used nicknames to hide their real names because posting any personal detail was an international security risk.
Uploading a photo of yourself was like sacrificing kittens.
Then, the social networks arrived and for some reason all this got forgotten.

What?
I thought BlitzMax disappeared a long time ago.
Even more surprising is that you can still make a game and run it in recent Windows.
I mean, the last time I used it was the Windows XP era.

Sadly, I didn't document the whole process, but here I show some examples and give some details.
Maybe, one day, I do a video 🤔

Cool!
I took the same approach for my game, generating the terrain based on plate tectonics, along with some basic fluids for water and climate simulation, so planets look much more organic than with any noise based solution.

Hi!
I'm currently working on Planetary Life, a planet and life simulation game.
However, if this is for the YouTube videos about discovering 5 new projects, you already covered this game one year ago... 😅

By the way, this planet was mostly water, but this small patch of land with a forest looks good!

During this run, it ended up with planet where 41.62% creatures were carnivores 🍖, but just a 0.16% of them were herbivores 🥗.
The rest (58.22%) are small microorganism eaters 🦠.

Also, the catalog of existing species looks good!
However, this catalog is showing any creature with small mutation. I should do some changes here so I the game can identify who is a new specie and who is just a creature with a small mutation.
