The deluge of information is the cause. We've fallen into the embrace of algorithms because we've forgotten how to process information. We CAN'T process it all. We can't make informed opinions that fast, vet sources, research underlying facts, & now we've lost our ability to discern real from fake.

Interestingly, this one has a BFG product number on the sticker over the VGA port, but a 3D Fuzion PN on the back. Didn't realize the two were related, but I guess BFG absorbed 3D Fuzion at some point, or something?
