The monochrome brown color scheme is warm and inviting and the theme of a warms dessert is very comforting 🤎🤍

You're welcome!
I apologize, but I didn't expect you to copy my notes as they were. They're actually a bit old and I'm pretty sure I messed up when I tried to update them to point to the latest version of UMU. I need to make a VM to retest the commands 😓
The .desktop files should work, though!

Incidentally, the original comic wasn't about creating dichotomies of categories, but was explaining a natural law

I looked at a few more examples of this format, and I think I see the intellectual foolery. First, pick two things. *Anything* else you compare to those two things will be more like one than the other. With some cherry picking, you could avoid stretching credulity, but I doubt most people care

I love the pose and expression. She looks so cute, but so nervous

Not to say that going to the extremes isn't worth it with the right talent doing the piloting! (Video is of @alpineshowtime.bsky.social)

If you know you want these features, definitely prioritize them over toggles so said toggles can be animated with them taken into account, and have your rigging broken up into model updates as @ransom-vt.bsky.social says here

What a coincidence, I am currently trying to convince Kshi to switch to Linux 😈

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's been plugged into this world as long as I have. The jokes are funny enough on their own, but there's an extra layer of parody that you have as someone who's watched hundreds of debuts. It's not too long and worth the watch.

Ludwig's vtuber debut was brilliant satire, by the way. Some of it I suspect was unintentional or aimed moreso at the livestreaming industry at large, rather than vtubing specifically, but pretty much every moment was like a funhouse mirror of indie vtuber culture.

It's a complicated matter. The toxicity is far from all-encompassing, but still too prevalent to avoid. What I need from myself is the courage to stick by my opposition to this kind of toxicity, even as doing so exposes me to the same venom. I regret not supporting Pokimane as a vtuber back then.

Drawing a through-line of toxicity back to that point has utterly redefined my perception of the medium. My enjoyment of vtubing has been undercut by this poisonous element and I'm only now realizing for just how long I've been excusing it away.

I don't think I've ever managed to stay in the workaholic bullseye. It might be impostor syndrome immediately dragging me into the sad coma as soon as I make progress in something

No worries! Although it sounds like you got sick, according to your more recent posts. Get well soon, and I hope your grandma had a happy birthday!

It's a tough choice, but I love the sleeves on 1, the flowers in the skirt on 1 and 2, and the design of the top on 3

Oh, and be critical of your social media! The microblog format is not the best for extended conversations or debate! Remember that Bluesky lets you link to other sites without penalizing discovery, so share your blogs and comments where your words have the space to breathe.

As always, never trust anything you see on the internet, research the strongest version of the opposing viewpoint to seek understanding, and assume the best of people even if they don't return the favor (or might be bots that only pretend to be nice to create a false sense of dissensus).

Now I'm not so sure. Do I stop entertaining every statement that doesn't meet my intellectual standards? It feels so arrogant to say this, yet I feel like I don't have a choice

I've made it a point to engage with a variety of viewpoints in the past, even if I don't consider them the most robust or well-thought-out. Not everyone has time to reflect so deeply on big issues or abstract concepts, but I always figured that their feelings came from somewhere, and are important
