I mean, eh sort of? From what I have read and witnessed myself, it feels as though people do it because they want to play a Malkavian. They do not think of the human first, who they were before. Like, no one chooses to be a Malkavian and no one chooses what mental illness they have.

I'm just kind of tired of it because even the VTM MIlan board game coming out as a pre-generated Malkavian with a "split personality" and the other personality is "a dark figure prone to bouts of rage and violence that comes to her aid when needed." There's no need to make every Malkavian this way.

I actually just saw a post where someone's inspiration for their character was Moon Knight? This would be an NPC who is "intersex with DID and two complete opposite personalities and one is really flirty and dependent and the other is super stoic/serious. And only one is blood bonded!"
