Must be exhausting for those with a GOAT who needs so much scrubbing. Can't relate.

Everyone's "totally reasonable" rational always amounts to all the characters they like getting in, but Akuma sits this one out. The best solution would really be more new series not burdened so directly by legacy. No one would buy it though.

Recap movies can at times be superior and better focused. Quacks feels like cliffnotes, but half are print outs of gundam wiki.

"Honestly this one is terrible, why did we even put it on? They paid? Well I don't want their money. SKIP!"

A big issue with Tekken 8 right now is the buffs to aggression has made movement much weaker. Yet people love Virtua Fighter which has always been more offensive. The answer is VF has layers of options to counter that level of aggression. It feels rewarding rather than guess this is just my life now

What makes a good fighter really depends on context. There is no right way to do any mechanic but you can see when intention, reality and what the community enjoys clash. This is often most pronounced in sequels as new design clashes with old and some vestigial parts are left in.

Having complaints about Strive's wall breaks, air teching, damage, etc is hardly controversial. Now that one guy who hates AC but played a load of MvC2, that guy could make a 10 part series on his rage

4v4 is genuinely inventive though and I hope they can actually produce a roster to meet such expectations.

I appreciate some of the calls for changes (throw loops are boring, drive rush nerfs could add variety). But they clearly have a game in mind with SF6, it isn't going to be patched into a different type of game. More games would probably be better off with a more solid vision that they stick too.

Ingrid is set up for the Dandadan collab where she gets a Momo costume. Trust the vision

People are very used to the idea that patches are meant to flip games on their head. But part of me likes that SF6 knows what it wants to be, outside stuff like throw loops being better off gone. Let the sequel take things in a weird new direction.

Part of me wonders if it's just that unless you hire from within the fgc, few devs in the west seem to understand the genre. Those flawed but interesting game all came from a time when more did play them. Nowadays, most genres with roots in arcade design are rarely taken seriously .

I feel the opposite, they pigeonholed the idea as art means AAA blockbuster. But the gameplay side can be a shooting gallery. That isn't where the art is. Perhaps they made some realise games even had the potential to be art. But create as much work to unpick.

SF6 feels like it was made with a fairly tangible vision, and players really just want them to compromise on a few things plus new hats. To varying degrees the other big devs are twisting nobs trying to make sense of their own game I have issues with a lot of modern fighter -isms but they can work
