Looking forward to seeing this one. Need to carve out the hour to do it. After Khan and Voyage, this ranks as my third favorite of the movies.

PS: and Twin Peaks stumbled when Lynch gave into popular pressure to reveal the killer. Once that happened, art gave way to studio demand. after the reveal, they relied too much on Lynch’s eccentricity at the expense of the artistic ability to fuse avant-garde atmosphere with creative storytelling

We’re once again in an era akin to the gladiatorial spectacles of Ancient Rome, where the lack of cultural, artistic, and market depth (yet wildly entertaining bread and circuses) kept the populace satisfied but also controllable.

“Computer? Hello, computer?” “Use the keyboard.” “How… quaint.” The best fourth movie in a franchise ever.
