Make an observation about your pantry that also sounds like the title of a novel. Seeking Dr. Pepper

The @kacarlab.bsky.social is led by Dr. Betül Kaçar and is challenging the assumptions about life as we know it, its origins, and its future. @planetarypan.bsky.social chatted with Dr. Kaçar in this week's #SETILive, and wow, we all learned a lot! Watch the full interview: buff.ly/RKulLIx 🧪 👩‍🔬

Hey, that's me! (And I really need a new pfp)

I wrote about lava fountains and how they are weird. Turns out they could be a third type of volcanic eruption between explosive and effusive (lava flows) styles. www.discovermagazine.com/planet-earth...

I have one of Ryan’s Mt Lassen covers and it’s awesome.

#ICYMI: In this week's #SETILive, @planetarypan.bsky.social asked Dr. Amanda Steckel why we study #Mars, and she explained the three reasons: old rocks, climate change, and the possibility of life due to water. Learn more in our full interview: youtube.com/live/5ipxP0w... 🧪 👩‍🔬

Oh @stellerarts.bsky.social … a friend saw this sign here in San Jose. Thought you would approve!

Today, I got to chat with Youcef Sellam about being able to find microfossils in crystals and how to apply the methods to other worlds like Mars. Incredibly fascinating. I am not a biologist, but I learned a lot today! 👩‍🔬

Boimler Alert! Scientists @planetarypan.bsky.social and @allplanets.bsky.social are back to over-analyze the science of #StarTrek! They chat about time travel, technological advancements, SETI, and the Great Man Theory. 🧪👩‍🔬 Lower Decks crossover time! youtu.be/J-eEopzhdYo

buff.ly/58lSFSu In a recent #SETILive, @dagomardegroot.bsky.social joined @planetarypan.bsky.social to discuss The Climate Chronicles podcast. The podcast focuses on the Earth’s climatic evolution, spanning 50 million years, to shed light on what history can teach us about today's climate crisis. 🧪

Excited to be watching #AltonBrownLive #LastBite with my hubby tonight. I think this is the third time we’ve seen @altonbrown.bsky.social in person…

Scientists @planetarypan.bsky.social and @allplanets.bsky.social are back to over-analyze the science of #StarTrek! This episode examines Strange New Worlds, S2E6. Beth and Franck chat about deuterium, star-forming nebula, and lessons in communicating with new species. youtu.be/hZ3ktGCU-1M

Absolutely one of the most beautiful movie stars we ever had, and very often the best thing about the movies he was in.

Losing Val Kilmer breaks my heart. He was my first real crush, from Real Genius and Top Secret all the way to The Saint and Batman Forever, he took over my world. He suffered way too much these past few years, and he has gone much too soon. RIP.

Hey, that's me! Join me in about an hour for a fun chat about a new podcast on the history of our planet's climate during the existence of humanity...

I love the OSIRIS-REx mission, and I had a great time chatting about the discovery of 14 amino acids in the Bennu sample. Not life, but definitely life's buildings. Still awesome!

As my 50th birthday approaches, I was having real “do not like myself” vibes. One thing bothering me was my hair. I fixed that today. Next up? Writing.

In #SoCal and felt the #earthquake? Don’t forget to share your experience… for #SCIENCE earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/...

One of my #cats just proved the thing about cats and toys. Basket of things that crinkle, ring, and smell like catnip... and he spends five solid minutes batting around and chasing... a straw.

Me: Is smart. Also me, while typing: Wed-nes-day, Feb-ru-air-y Sigh.

If you go out tonight after sunset (in a few minutes for the East coast) five naked-eye planets are visible (not counting the one you're on). Saturn is lowest, about 5° above the horizon above and to the left of where the Sun set. It's faint and VERY hard to see. You'll binocs. 1/n

My hero.

Having a blast recording these shows with @planetarypan.bsky.social , diving into Star Trek, aliens, and the future of civilization. 🎬👽✨ We’d love more viewers, but hey—Rome wasn’t built in a year! If you want us to keep this going, like, share & drop a comment! 🚀📡 #SciFi #Future
