Here for photos of your dog, your lunch, and to escape Musk's hellscape of sycophantic blue tick simpletons. I play The FINALS, Battlefield, and very old arcade games. I also enjoy a nice sit down, and a cup of tea.

You've got more chance of teaching your cat to play chess than educating a Reform fuckwit.

Poor girl is like, "this is my home now, I live here". She's never coming out.

It's attributed to too many people these days, but Wilson was a legitimate genius.

Ironically the world is safer now but the public perception is the opposite. We need to bring back free range children.

Hopefully somebody will do a better job of greasing the stairs in Air Force One next time.

Definitely hotter than the time George Galloway tried this in the Big Brother house. <shudder>

NHS food is bad enough without AI advising the catering team to put glue on the pizza.

There is no gender divide in gaming as a whole, everyone who owns a phone plays games, but the subculture referenced in the article definitely skews male.

100% agree. I treated Twitter like a video game. Score for wit and brevity. Sure, it's full of fash scum now, but I wonder how many people left because Musk's changes rigged the game.
comment in response to post
and if we say, ok, then lets only focus on "proper" gamers, the ones referenced in the original article, then you end up skewing male, young, and misogynistic which is not a demographic I really want to see our politicians pandering to.
comment in response to post
Do they need to engage in gaming? I think that's the point. For most gamers who are casual, they don't even know or identify with the gaming identity and playing a game on their phone holds no more cultural significance than a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos with their kids.
comment in response to post
I've read the piece. The culture you describe in the article is the gaming culture associated with PC/Console/AAA gaming. Most gamers (who are the casual mobile consumers) are completely ignorant of this. Most gamers cultural awareness of gaming is not this same shared experience.

Still never listened to a Podcast. I don't think I ever evolved out of the text internet. Audio/Video is too slow.

Well yes, I share that opinion. However, if you're going to discuss gaming in politics, then you have to acknowledge that the majority of gamers/electorate play those sorts of games and not console/pc games so it's this experience that should surely form the focus of the discussion, not Mario/Switch
comment in response to post
The vast majority of casual gamers use nothing more than their phone. 200 million people play Candy Crush. Dwarfs the Switch 2.

It's good Jamie is raising awareness for this issue. It means he isn't cooking.

Hey BBC, I know what you're thinking… surely I haven't got another great idea for a show if you want to appeal more to Reform voters…

Hey BBC, you're in luck, I've got another great idea for a show if you want to appeal more to Reform voters…

Hey BBC, OMG, I've only gone and got another great idea for a show if you want to appeal more to Reform voters…

God, if we ever needed a team on the side of the marginalized who happen to have just made an awesome cabbage cannon in a old garage, it's now.

MasterChef only permitted to cook dishes on the Weatherspoons menu. Black and White Minstrels to judge Strictly Launch a new BBC digital channel that's just flags in 4k, 24/7.

CEO and upper executive positions are arguably the easiest to replace with AI. They simply act on summarised information. Perfect use case for an LLM.

Reform only have 5 MPs. Very low productivity. Reform clearly lacks ambition.

Masterchef the Professionals only allowed to cook dishes found on a Weatherspoons menu?

Private profits, public costs. This is exactly how public service monopolises are supposed to work.

80 years old, high heels and diaper leakage on stairs. It's like the first 10 minutes of an episode of Casualty.

Last summer, we watched one crow attack 5 foxes out the front of our house as it wanted the food our neighbour had been feeding them. They're absolutely fearless. They also walk back and forth on our patio to drink out the pond but stop to look through the back door. They are top tier birds.

Diaper leakage and lifts on stairs. A treacherous combination at that frail age.
