"You all do great work that is worth supporting and I didn't until now, so it's time to change that. Seeing the direction games media is heading, directly supporting creators seems like the only way." #whysupportminnmax www.patreon.com/minnmax

Just a heads up on Substack because a few people have mentioned it: The other platforms cost money that I don't have while being unemployed. I could when/if the money stuff changes. But right now, I'm not in a place to pay those fees. Totally understand though if you rather not subscribe.

Myhouse.wad got an update. I went back in. The house never ends youtu.be/dcimJGlTpHg

With the little runway I now have, I will attempt to get a new, independent podcast into the air. Original reporting. Every week. Subscribe to the newsletter if you want to watch it being built.

decided to talk a little bit about my time with the miyoo flip after a few months. what's changed, what hasn't, and why it's become something i carry with me daily despite my not-so-glowing review in january: youtu.be/HxM0O3j95gc

Can somebody alert Weird Al to this Dishwalla opportunity?

Working on the union zine with Nicole was one of my favorite things I ever did at Polygon. So proud that we published it. Can you imagine a Valnet brand (or, hell, most gaming publications) giving something like this their imprimatur, let alone getting behind it the way our team did?

i am available for media appearances about the death stranding godzilla rock, contact me here: iangwalker.com

$80 gets you Elden Ring: Nightreign, Blue Prince, and REPO.

I spoke with the creators of 1000xResist about why we make, play, and need apocalyptic fiction Airs at 1pt/4et today! (I hope to do more of this with whatever I make next, so please let me know what you think!)

😭

While saving my work yesterday, I took a lot of joy and pride in revisiting some pieces that I feel stand as testament to how much I grew as an writer and editor over the past 4-plus years. As promised, a🧵 of some of my favorite pieces from my tenure at Polygon (links in alt text) (1/2)

thinking back on all the ways i interacted with and was affected by the people at polygon. @plante.bsky.social wrote this thoughtful (and extremely deep) profile 13 years ago, which has been referenced by SO many people since: www.polygon.com/2012/10/4/34...

Between jobs over the years, I did manage a couple of bylines at Polygon I'm quite proud of. @mattleone.bsky.social was an incredible editor to work with for this interview-led retrospective on DisneyQuest, some of Disney's earliest VR work, getting demolished.

I'm getting more sad about getting laid off. My work means so much to me. I'm a really good reporter. I've been getting scoops every single week lately, while also doing in-depth, award-winning reporting. I have good ideas! New email: [email protected] www.polygon.com/23776996/bar...
