I feel you, dude. I just had to put down my dog on Friday. Having her around was the best, losing her the absolute worst

500+ words while working a day job isn't slow to me 😅

I'm a night owl forced to be a morning person, but that just means I'm exhausted by the time I get home so I have to pick my writing days VERY carefully 😅

Often misdiagnosed as laziness. That was my experience.

Seems like the infantilization of an entire generation had shifted from millennials. Sorry for what you're gonna have to go through. I know all about it

Worst yet, when the bubble pops up, disappears, pops up for longer, then disappears for good. NO I WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO SAY

Just make sure you write it down! The worst is spending 15 minutes world building in your head then forgetting it all after 5 minutes of distraction

MySpace had a level of customization missing from the newer social media sites. Where's my top 8? And full HTML functions? Music player? Why did we go backwards?

Someone already said Chrono Trigger so I'll say Persona 5 Golden

I got through like 12 hours of the first Mass Effect. I would like to go back and finish it some time. I have the trilogy on my PS5

Replaying Final Fantasy 9 for the 20th time or so. I usually stick with single player games

Sounds great! I've been publishing at least 1 story or article a week (trying to keep this up on my profile) for practice. It's tough to balance that project and write more for my novel. I'm trying to build my skills first. Only really started going all in on writing in the last 6 months

Hi 👋 I'm currently writing a lot of short form stories for practice, but my long-term goal is writing my first novel. I'm around 1 chapter/8 pages in. It's sci-fi. I'm also starting with nothing, so I would love to connect. Anything to push me into more writing!

I'm replaying Final Fantasy 9 right now. It's my comfort playthrough.

Even if they don't confirm the diagnosis, if adhd friendly techniques work for you, stick with them. You really only need the formal diagnosis for medication, you can pretend you have adhd for the helpful tips

Check out some of the adhd resources out there, like how to adhd on YouTube. Literally life changing advice on there.

Trying to beat all the mainline games as a Nuzlocke. Though I'm dumb and tried all the hardest games first since they're my favorites and I've yet to beat one. The closest I ever got was Platinum, losing at the Elite 4.

My favorite part about that skit is that every reference he makes is real. Roy Donk is a real person who was a regular guest on the Colgate Hour, which is also A COMPLETELY REAL THING THAT EXISTED

I've always heard it's a little of both. Since we're not communicating face to face, people have a harder time feeling empathy for the people on the other side of the computer screen. So, it is partly the medium (internet) and people (lack of empathy).

I'd love to, but
1. I'm not in the Philly area
2. I loathe the Phillies

Very true. I've started to become more self aware of my ADHD where as soon as someone asks me to do something, if I know I have no interest, I tell them it's not gonna happen.
And yeah, the gym doesn't interest me either.

MySpace. I learned HTML to customize my page including adding a music player that I hid so that nobody could turn it off.

My PC is not top of the line so PS5 is for anything I can't play on my PC. I wish my PC could run Baldur's Gate III since I like the PC interface better, but alas

They're a little bit dead now, but back in the day X-Com communities were super helpful and welcoming. I think when the game itself is super brutal, players feel they don't need to bring that stress into the community.

I agree. It's tough to do this, though, since the cat's out of the bag, so to say. A different term can be used, it's been done with other problematic terms in the past. I'm not sure of the way to do it, myself or even what better term there is

Masculinity isn't a person, it's a social construct. There are masculine women. Part of the reason why people don't understand what toxic masculinity means

I have 0 energy except when it comes to shows. You can always just show up for your favorite band's set. It's pretty easy to find set times a few days before the show

Dudes think toxic masculinity means "men are toxic". It makes them angry enough to never look further into the actual definition. I'd go far enough to say that anyone mad at a social justice term doesn't actually know what it means.
