Hey Charlie I saw you on Nicole. As a long-time rabble rouser on social justice and abortion rights policy, I have an insight about the town hall people. I don’t think it IS the 2015-21 resistance. We are exhausted (we will come back). These town hall folks are a NEW resistance. Fresh and ready!! 🇺🇸

It’s an interesting test of our nation right now that people will be defined by when they sound the alarm? Many will not until it’s THEM feeling the misery that many of us have yet to feel but already see. I feel like our country needs to feel some big pain to convince those people that it’s US.

And if you want to understand voter suppression you need to look at the last 100 years or more, especially in red states. In AR we are the lowest voter participation state in the nation. Why? At least in part certain sectors of society have been systematically taught their vote doesn’t matter.

Many of us worked very very hard this last 4 years to register voters, mobilize progressive voters, secure the right to reproductive rights, campaign for good candidates, work at the polls securing an election. If you are dissatisfied I have a question: what did you dd and what are you doing now?

They are like a two-headed snake. They want it their way at any given moment, whiplashing their positions as needed. No accountability and self-enrichment is their goal. People still in support of this know… they got your vote and now you mean nothing to them. You are not safe in that red hat.

He looks like a hostage at the table in SA. Like, life choices are weighing on him. He’s just completely compromised by the trump-putin bromance.

I totally get how sketchy this is and that insiders will profit while everyday MAGA will lose every dime. But why don’t those “non insiders” get that? I guess the economy is better than they admit if they are willing to throw actually money into the commemoration fire.

I don’t trust ANYTHING associated with Musk. Twitter has become a cesspool. Musk has manipulated the platform in every imaginable, and I’m sure unimaginable, way. I’d rather quit TikTok all together than engage in making Elon more stupidly powerful than he already is.

It’s excellent! I wish more did a short newsletter for their districts! LR seems far removed from many voters and these communications to constituents keep them more informed about their own communities and more connected on statewide issues. It’s more work but there are volunteers can help!

I’m still processing the last year for sure. This is the first month since last February that my calendar hasn’t been overflowing between the initiative, election, holidays. Time to think!

And infant/maternal mortality are worst in the US, among other awful indicators like wages! Just remember lots of costs like groceries and power / gas are not tied to the local economy.

I was legal studies in college and we took many legal history and philosophy of law classes. One concept stayed with me: A philosophical requirement of any Law is that it be both enforced and enforceable. There has to be a will and a way. Clearly we have neither in this situation. So we need a HOW.
