About 60% of U.S. crude oil imports are from Canada, and 85% of U.S. electricity imports are from Canada. The reality is that Canada’s border plan, that allowed Trump to save face, was put into place December 17, 2024. It wasn’t an 11th hour concession. And, Mexico has had 15,000 agents at the border for quite a while.
