The active ingredient in pepper sprays and tear gas (not a gas) is Capsaicin which is NOT soluble in water. It is soluble in fats and oils. So while water may rinse off particles of the agents in question it’s not effective at removing or neutralizing the irritant.

Moreover, kids are going to actively seek out things their parents don’t approve of. It’s called growing up. A necessary and important stage of self actualization.

“Embracing an imperial Judiciary?” Never thought I would see the Supreme Court gaslighting an entire nation. If anyone is guilty of this, it would have to be Roberts.

Today’s GOP is espousing everything our founding fathers came here to escape. Religious persecution, tyrannical rule, abuse of power. All part of the party platform now.

Just from that reply, I’m guessing the BMV employee was a woman? Probably a woman of color?
comment in response to post
But that would mean companies would have to pay a living wage and the GOP can’t possibly get behind that now can they?

True, but then if fares change and you can fly into Dayton you won’t have that option. But you’re only an hour out (and cost of rental complicates things) so maybe not important anyway… Someday we will have digital secretaries to do this stuff for us. And we can just focus on work.

It may be necessary to call for a general strike. If they try to cancel or postpone midterms, we can shut the country down, take to the streets and restore our democracy. Be ready. generalstrikeus.com

Fascinating logistics. Will you rent a car to drop off in Cincy? Leave options open to return to Dayton? Just curious.

Block and ignore. Russia has a very active cyberwar effort, don’t let them discourage you. The entire free world stands with you. We stand in awe of your innovation and determination. Слава Україні! Перемога йде!

The presidency is a very demanding job, even if you aren’t really concerned with doing it. He can golf all he wants, it won’t help with jet lag and Oval Office infighting.

Someone told him it was a black tie event? 🤣

Cutting off diplomatic discussions to bomb a sovereign state on a whim is not a Genie you can put back in that particular bottle. Actions have consequences. So no, we are definitely not safer today.

Nice day with dflicious food… I can’t help thinking that somewhere there is a recent Chinese grad (whose resume claims he is fluent in English) who thinks AI saved his ass…

And none of that means the threat is real. Sleeper cells are more movie trope than reality. Why infiltrate a nation with deep undercover agents and wait when you can just infiltrate anytime you want? And if for some reason you did, why pull a Trump and give the game away with a tweet?

He is. He absolutely is.

He had the temerity to flee which means they worked up a sweat chasing him down. There’s a certain LEO subculture that feels they have to punish people of color who aren’t compliant to any degree. Because they can.

The website took down the post, apparently this was a miscommunication about parking restrictions. Reading room policies have not changed.

Cats sometimes purr when they are hurt or frightened. But mostly when well fed and happy.

Huh. Like a bird feeding a fledgling.

See how AI is making us so much more productive?

This is why we need to defund police. They don’t see their role as “protect and serve,” they see it as reducing the number of nuisance complaints they have to respond to. In their eyes, jail or deportation is a valid response to a plea for help.

There is nothing more soul satisfying than being rained on and missed.

Lots of shit going on. Lonnie LeBlanc was the man that died. A high tech space company not taking the time to get some fucking straps to secure a load and instead letting a guy sit on it is insane shit even by 1990s standards. www.reuters.com/investigates...

No. They won’t. And many will die because they are denied care they can’t afford. There won’t be any coming back from this if you move forward with these senseless cuts.

I don’t think the Europeans subscribe to the third scenario. They are fully aware that would be a long term threat to their own sovereignty thanks to Putin’s imperialist ambitions. Of the remaining scenarios, only the first is palatable to them as the second also is untenable in the long run.

Yeah… for the record, I voted against that idea. But here we are.

He is a victim of senile dementia. He is demented. He never had a “cognitive test” (no such thing) with his physical yet continues to insist he did. That’s an indication someone told him he may be suffering some cognitive capacity loss which he would refuse to hear.
comment in response to post
He is demented. Which means he thinks no one else knows this thing he has forgotten (because he’s not aware he has forgotten) so repeating it makes him look smart.
comment in response to post
Talk about “activist judges,” these bigots will use any pretext to take away the rights of people of color.

Worse. No one knows where their nuclear materials are. They could be in the hands of proxies like the Houthis. And if that doesn’t give you pause, I don’t know what will.

He’s not saying the house is on fire, he’s saying he wants to fireproof it by burning it down. Makes perfect sense.

Isfahan? We should be so lucky. It could be in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon… it could be anywhere. They have no idea where or in whose hands the stockpile is in. Because Trump.

Ignore him. It’s the same saber rattling he engages in every time he feels threatened. It’s just SOP, meaningless. Costs him nothing, and if it works to cow the opposition so much the better.

Ok, upon closer examination that does appear to be post strike. Impossible to tell extent of damage but it does appear that concrete structures were hit judging by white colored tailings fanning out from entry craters.
comment in response to post
Not sure that’s a post strike photo. Find it hard to believe they didn’t destroy the air handling building that houses the circulation fans for the site. Also, fences around entrances appear completely intact? That’s not even light damage.
comment in response to post
Are there no air raid shelters? Where do people in apartment buildings go?

Completely illegal use of deadly force. He was not in fear of his life and obviously wanted to scare off citizen. Violation of civil rights, should be sued.

If you can see it, your captain will have to answer why you didn’t shoot it down way before then. Force protection is a thing. Probably didn’t give him permission. Lately, Russian pilots have been buzzing other planes, ships trying to provoke an incident.

Yeah, I think so. That was not a Phalanx gun on the deck. Looked like a 20mm cannon? Not sure.
