Right. I was a ⬛️ teen with a lot going on, so today i tried half a thc gummy for the 1st time. I didn’t get one meant for pain/sleep, but i did feel…comfortable, which never happens. has anyone w #fibromyalgia been able to stop cymbalta & amitriptyline? It’s all I’m on but I don’t wanna anymore 🫠

@silverhawthorne.bsky.social Hey! I'm glad you were born <3

I heard a rumor that someone is mad about a poem in my book - one I didn’t read at career day - but also because on FB I “say bad stuff about the president and keeps talking about DEI.” So we’re mad that the disabled, female poet is frustrated about DEI. Got it. can’t wait for my first book ban😂

Presented at my son’s MS Career Day. As a poet - against homeland security, a veterinarian, graphic designer… told the kids “no poet in history has ever said they’re in it for the money.” May have a book banned due to sxual content I didn’t read but they found anyway. It was a great day! 😂📚💙

oh I have had the absolute worst day, on top of an already terrible week. If you need me, I'm going to take a scalding hot shower forever, so you will have to settle for the me in my books. Regular me is unavailable.

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

“Lemon is on my recommended reading list for How Reading and Writing Poetry Makes Better Clinicians.” — Lynne Schmidt, mental health professional & 2025 Maine Arts Fellow File under “never expected this to happen.” I’m told the presentation has been seen at several state conferences for NASW. 😳🥹

Signal boosting. It’s already hard enough, scary enough, speaking as a woman with a disability. But then add LGBTQ/NB? my heart hurts for so many. Holding space so hard that I hope it’s felt around the damn world. 💚🥺

I host a lovely collaborative editing poetry workshop at my local bookstore. And yet, I haven't written anything since Christmas. The best I have is an incomplete something I wrote just after my carpal tunnel surgery. Trying to give myself grace bc of the recovery, but I am frustrated with my brain

depression is so stupid 🙄 I don’t have it in me to make dinner. I don’t even have it in me to call in an order for dinner, but I feel guilty asking my husband to order AND pick up.he offered, but last time I asked him to order he was annoyed so now I can’t accept the offer of help either.

Publishing contract is all signed and ready! "Hurt Sounds" will begin preorders May 12, and the book will be released September 2025!

In a necessary bright spot this week, I am honored to share that my upcoming poetry chapbook, Hurt Sounds, was a finalist for the New Women's Voices Chapbook Series, and will be published by @finishinglinepress.bsky.social 💙📚 Details to come; for now, let these pictures offer a little hint :)

hey #booksky - boring book metadata Q for you! Just released an anniversary ed of my 1st book. I've always used Isabella J. Mansfield when publishing. D/t an error, the middle initial isn't in the metadata of the new release, so the new book doesn't populate in a search for ALL my books (cont...)

This is not a cabinet, this is a junk drawer.

“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.” Diary of Anne Frank January 13, 1943
