I only write poetry so the MC is meeeeee, and she is not very nice to herself, like ever. She's occasionally jealous and judgmental, overthinks everything, and is prone to obsess over that ONE THING you said forever, because what did you even mean by that??

I love that!! Poetry is so great when you only want to spend just a few minutes with something, I can read a good handful of poems in a few minutes, but I don't want to disrupt a novel with tiny bursts of reading.

I was just at Career Day at my son's middle school, asked which poems they liked from their poetry unit. One mentioned "o me! o life!" by Whitman and his reason prompted me to read THIS David Whyte poem, instead of one of my own lol

well if there was ever a poem in front of me that I needed to read, right then, right there, in the very moment I needed it, it's this one.

like I am really, really all for strong women who can lift their partners (literally, and figuratively speaking), but these two make me so uncomfortable lol

Who’s to say?! There’s just so much splash, which initially looked like impact to me but then I am tired 😂

Painsomnia is a great word.
What is it with “graphic confusion” in the mix 😂

Well if you thought “let’s look at other images in the set to find clarity,” DON’T 😂
Because apparently these two are “dancing.” depositphotos.com/vector/silho...

I thought it posted so sorry if it’s a repeat, but what exactly is she sitting ON?
I’m up with insomnia and pain and now this 😂

I think it’s both of their arms, but he also then has rather dainty arms 😂

It’s been a rough two months, friends. Btwn carpal tunnel recovery, writers block, & a political climate hell bent on silencing marginalized voices, including those with disabilities… well, I’m sure you don’t need me to elaborate further.
But this was a treasured bright spot in a gray month 💙📚

Her arms look like they’re just above his, maybe resting on them in the same angle, based on where the fingers seem to be.
But if he’s resting on his heels (why does he still have shoes on?), her legs aren’t doing THAT. Until I saw his feet, I thought they just made his legs rather..shapely

I think I’ll probably resubmit, as long as they can reuse the isbn

oh I'm so glad! I went with the gut feeling that you might not be looking for the obvious "kids poems about the zoo," and this one is really beautiful.

It was self pub, but I have the opportunity to resubmit the files to correct it, and have the ISBN reassigned, so it won't change to what's printed. It's not HARD to do this, but I'm trying to decide if it's worth the work to resubmit or not. Thoughts? Is this clear as mud? #booksky💙📚

My first day, not really understanding the starter packs, I was shocked at the immediate followers. People can be so weird.

They’re just intimidated and jealous. I’m sorry though, that must have been hard to read!

What if, instead of coming back home, you take some of us to London with you… no? Worth a shot.
Could you at least bring a supply of Cadbury Flake bars? I think the next four years will require a lot of chocolate. 🥺

While it isn't on the same website, so no promo code, I feel like I have to give some love to The Hollows of Bone. She's feeling a little lonely with all the attention on my newer books. bit.ly/Hollowsofbone

they're silly and whimsical - a little dated, but overall I think they hold up well enough. Each chapter is a little short look into a different family in town, each kid with a different issue (talks back, won't bathe, picky eater) and the Magic Cures that Mrs Piggle Wiggle offers.

oh goodness I loved that book so much at that age!! When my kiddo was about 6 I bought all of the Mrs Piggle Wiggle books, I ADORE them, still, to this day.
