We were so lucky to get a Dx for our 14yr old daughter in just over a year - but it was without a doubt the worst year of her life. The most heartbreaking part as a parent was hearing her wonder if she was "crazy" due to the dismissal and belittling of her symptoms by HCWs.

Honestly, just walk down to your local record shoppe and pick up a copy of Green Day's American Idiot. Every time my 12 & 15 year olds ask me to explain a lyric, they're getting a full history lecture on the post-9/11 discourse and geopolitical realignment.

The Alberta Government is framing their abdication of public health measures as fiscal responsibility. It is far cheaper to give someone a vaccine than to keep them on a ventilator. Denying vaccines is one of the most most financially reckless things a government can do.

Most Albertans, including healthcare workers, will now have to pay to get a COVID vaccine. Danielle Smith promised Albertans would never have to pay out of pocket for the medical treatment they need. She lied. Such a cruel, dangerous, anti-science, anti-public health decision. Make it make sense.
