Grizzly Bear - Shields. Learned a new subgenre today, "chamber pop" which means you occasionally put a violin in there. They are also classified as "Indie rock" (meaningless) and Psychedelic folk. (eh....maybe) To me they have a lot of the droning qualities of slowcore but I guess they aren't

The Byrds "Sweetheart of the Rodeo". I really enjoy this. You want to hear hippies really trying to play country and then sort of veering into rock, this is the album.

Thought that came to my mind was blue oyster cult will make you dislike certain other bands like Thin Lizzy. BOC puts in just enough progressive elements (without sounding like cringe jazz) that you just tend to see it as better than TL.

Proto shoe gaze, "dream pop" band Galaxie 500. Giving them a chance for the first time today. (Maybe, though I forget a lot of bands I've heard) The droning style of music isn't totally my thing though.

Supposedly big influences on Wu tang, Erik and Rakim. Couldn't find any interesting discussions on reddit about them.

Emmy Lou Harris. Not a big country music fan but giving her a chance and learning about her.

I admire people who can tell the difference between various kinds of techno ish movement and enjoy listening to it. Drum and bass? What is that. etc I can't. Respect to people who do. It's ok to admit there is an art form you don't totally feel comfortable critiquing or have an opinion on.

the pre Bruce Dickinson Iron Maiden is really good.

I'm actually not a big fan of Tarantino generally but in terms of talking about movies he's the best. Great book here.

Here are the answers you get if you ask google search if actresses are difficult to work with. Meryl Streep - No, not at all. Helen Hunt - no information Glenn Close - No, not at all. Cybil Shephard - Ugh yeah. Like numerous instances.

Crazy Rhythms - the Feelies. Apparently one of Michael Stipes favorite albums at one point. I may have to relisten to decide of I like it or not.

If I said a band was "cosmic" do you think 70s band with an organ? Or maybe something else?

Willy And The Poor Boys Remastered, Creedence Clearwater Revival. I probably like them less than I used to. They're still good but maybe have have gotten played out in my head and go from like a 10 to an 8 or 7.

Pretty straightforward book on audible. Adam makos. starting to get into it.

The original star wars almost had Kurt Russell as luke skywalker.
