That's a bit misleading. We don't need 3.5% to "be effective" 3.5% is the point of no return. That just means that NO REVOLT that has EVER surpassed 3.5% has failed.
Showing up before then is just as important.

Eventually, a prolonged, nationwide boycott/strike will be required. We will need at least 3.5 percent of the population to participate to be effective.

I really appreciated hearing about your journey. Mine was not as profound as yours but somewhat similar. I read « The Pagan Christ » en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pag... which convinced me to give it all up as a bad deal. There were a few other issues too, but the story of Horus was enough for me.
