Thank fuck for the Don't Just Let Everybody Die cavalry

Sure would be nice if police in “Democrat run cities” thought they answered to Democrats.

Still hard to believe that after years of yearning Trump finally got his strong leader parade and it made him look weak. And so he threatens half the country with his vengeance.

Boon for big funeral too.

The stupidest people are in charge because we couldn’t prosecute a political crime because it would look too political.

The ridiculous lengths they will go to deny responsibility for the monsters they’re making is pretty obvious in the desperate attempts to label the Minnesota assassin a “radical leftist.” Dude checked so many radical right boxes he might as well have been wearing a maga hat.

Have they taken the Minnesota assassin to Burger King yet?

Something about a guy who lived, worked, made and lost many fortunes in New York City for 70 odd years trying to vilify cities seems SLIGHTLY opportunistic.

Swab it for Miller’s DNA.

He finally saw the reaction to his birthday parade.

Obviously a man of deep commitments.

This is a United States Senator mocking the assassination of a Minnesota legislator and her husband. He pretends to be a good Mormon. He’s a sick fuck.

A right-winger -- a registered Republican, a Trump voter, an evangelical anti-abortion activist -- assassinates a Democratic official. Republicans respond by blaming the left. Democrats respond by blaming ... no one.

You want dad. I got your dad right here.

At least the sponsors were prestigious.

I scrolled the length of the NYT app just now and unless I missed it there wasn’t a single story or opinion piece on the No Kings protests. But there was this—

It concerns me that we're in age not just of political assassinations, but Holocaust-denial-levels of denialism by US senators

Kind of feel like him considering himself a supreme leader might come into play on his reasoning here.

I think a good rule of thumb is if your preferred source of news referred to yesterday's protest as "tens of thousands" and not "millions", you need to find a different news source.

Phorm - It's impotent rage in a can.

Appreciating irony is not their strong suit.

It's always interesting to compare the numbers to the Tea Party protests and the respective coverage of them.

Good thing drunk on power was the theme of the parade.

Ok, *this* is best comparative stat, members of media: The DC Pride parade one week ago had a bigger turnout.

Talk about different optics. 800,000 people attended the last big military parade. They weren't behind high security fencing. And the president actually greeted the troops in the street, not from an elevated box.

Perhaps some MTMEGA hats will do the trick.

If your only account of the parade was in the New York Times you'd think the consensus was it was a success, not sad and low energy as he looked bored and miserable reviewing it.

christ he’s so boring. basically a washed-up singer that just plays the same few tired hits.

i don’t know if this counts but when i was 12 i asked my dad to teach me about football so i could more easily talk to boys. that began a sunday tradition of watching games together that lasted for years. i’m a lifelong sports fan because of him. he died a few months ago. i miss him a lot.

they got him (gift link)

This is serious, rigorous analysis and it should change the way the media has been covering these protests. These were, in the aggregate, *massive.*

United Airlines has disabled Starlink WiFi on some regional jets after pilots experienced static interference with air traffic control radios, raising concerns about Elon Musk’s growing role in U.S. infrastructure.

i know i’m not a SoOpER geNiUs like elon or anything but this seems bad!

Turtle Mutual Aid:

heads up, LA

It was really just a concept of a parade

it is Illegal to not enjoy this. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

I'm loving all the videos of yesterday's protest but especially this wedding party that decided to join in

A leader of the MN House Democrats is murdered by a Republican pro-life activist. Rather than condemning political murder of his opponents, Elon Musk spreads the conspiracy theory that it was done by Democrats. Journalists don’t need to use any social media site. But they really shouldn’t use X.

this woman single-handedly has more courage than the entirety of the gop
