Ok heh when I said there were good times ahead I didn’t actually mean “fifteen minutes from now” but I guess they took me literally, that was great. My kid was screaming his face off after the third goal and yelled “one more!” at Dejan, and D looked over and gave him a nod. Epic stuff!

I have my grandmother’s autograph album too! It’s from her college days around 1930 and I love the messages and little verses her friends wrote. Some of them pasted photos in it as well. It’s funny thinking of one’s grandparent as a 20 year old student.

Interesting timing; I just said today that Trump has gone, in my mind, from being seen in history as a mere buffoon/jackass to actually being known as one of the world’s Really Bad Guys. That type of person is supposed to come from some other country. Not my own. 😕

It’s top 5 for me. I can never hear that theme without yelling the lyrics. So good.

I am NOT sharing this to give an opinion on Palestine or a Jewish state. Rather I would focus on what feels like a “secular Christianity,” as ridiculous as that sounds, trying to weasel its way into positions of power. Very interesting to think about.

I found it fascinating that in the novel, the characters seen as the “most orthodox” are those who are most vehemently against the formation of the Jewish state. That seemed telling to me as I think of the attitudes of different Christians toward government and America.

Wonderful accomplishment. That is a lot of hard work. Our feelings don’t always tell us the truth, do they? Tricky things.
