New: Some former staffers are finding it incredibly difficult to get rehired at Meta, sometimes finding out about their ineligibility through third-party staffing agencies rather than the company itself. Some managers at Meta are also running into systemic barriers trying to rehire former employees.

I sometimes get asked by journalist friends in India whether having a non-US accent is a problem when it comes to reporting in this country, and so far, the answer is a resounding no. It hasn’t mattered at all.
