www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home... This is a horrifying situation for the people involved but unfortunately we're not going to care because this country had a disgusting attitude towards refugees and Muslims.

Every now and again I am reminded of how adrift at sea I feel within the wider anime community. Things are either the best or worst with little room in between. Guilty of fangirling and being an opinionated ass myself, but there are precious few spaces to have the kinds of discussions I want.

Sadly this is the truth about America and England right now.

From a friend in one of my discord channels. A passage from a 1933 book on sexuality. JK Rowling, your argument is invalid.

ULTIMATES........assemble! @denizcamp.bsky.social the original Ultimates by Millar and Hitch is my favourite Marvel comic ever. So I'm very excited how the new Ultimate Universe reinvents the the team. And some current affairs reading for good measure too.

Zeta Gundam Episode 13 It's a great meme, but still a legitimate highlight from the show. Yeah. Enjoying the Heck out of this rewatch.

A reminder that fiction — books, film, games, what have you — is always political. The willful absence of “politics” in any work is itself a political choice and a political act. Who gets to tell (and sell) stories is political. It might be an undercurrent — covert, not overt. But it’s there.

Switching from the Pocket DMG to Micro for GBA games. I started with Blue, but Emerald was my favourite growing up.

Ayaneo products are very expensive for what they offer. But I have to be honest: I'm really quite fond of them. I've been getting stuck into the Pocket DMG and Pocket Micro recently and honestly? they're really quite great. DMG has much better battery life, but the Micro's full metal build is 🔥

'Humans like to worry' (笑) Very funny bookmark that came with a sci-fi novel I ordered recently.

Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare. Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.” We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

All that packaging for a movie and a poster....

I'm hearing good things about the new Spider-Man animated series on Disney + But after reading the new Ultimate Spider-Man, I'm just personally bored of Peter in High School or College AGAIN. Jonathan Hickman really spoiled me. Peter is so much more interesting when he's allowed to grow up.

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025... Didn't know diversity causes planes to crash.

www.bloomberg.com/news/article... This would be an incredibly backwards, short-sighted idea. Don't charge people who have no intention of watching live TV. Is it too much to ask them to move with the times?

Believe in a sign of Zeta, beyond the hard times from now! Ahead of its 40th anniversary next month, I'll be dusting off my blurays for a long overdue rewatch!

No disrespect to John Stewart at the Daily Show, but please stop trying to 'both sides' the current situation in America. It's really not helpful, no matter how any grievances people have with the Democrats, when the other side has made it clear exactly what they're doing.

While these things aren't going to immediately affect me (I'm British), everything that is happening right now with my transgender siblings in America breaks my heart. And there's not a damn thing I can do. Why can't we be left alone?

Coming to the end of rewatching Kamen Rider Kuuga in time for the shows 25th Anniversary. There is so much that can't be said within the character limit. What I can say is that this holds up exceptionally well. A real gem of a series that is more revolutionary in 2025 than it was in the year 2000.
