The problem is that 02's back half has some shoddy pacing and it's focus is deeply uneven. All of this material with the villains? Really good. Our main characters on the other hand? They've grinded to a halt for the most part.

Annnd after this point is where the cracks start to show in this series.

I'll happily use this as an example of why writing for children and young people is so important. We need to be challenged when growing up, and the benefit of having thoughtful stories when you're young, is that they play well no matter your age.

I never disliked the movie. There are messy elements to it, but yeah, I do appreciate the film a lot. The novels definitely supplemented that, but the film on its own terms still holds.

I agree. I'm glad we're in a much better place now, but also, anime fans forget their own history.
As for Robotech specifically? I'm a late stage millennial so didn't grow up with it. It's an artefact of a different era, but I appreciate it's importance. The James Luceno novels are still decent.

I mean yes. I understand why they're doing it. But it brings us back to something we should have left behind.

As someone with a Japanese account, if I can log onto it via a global system, then it's a non issue. Otherwise being forced to import or download all my titles won't be great.
Also I have too much to play right now. Christmas 2025 maybe. But summer? Hell no

Switch 2 is region locked likely because of the current situation. I don't care that I have a Japanese Switch 1. This is really rough.
Not to mention backwards for Nintendo. Though sadly understandable.

Same thing in the UK. You can drive a car, get pregnant and die for your country by the time you're 18. But having autonomy over your own body is a no no?
And the scary thing is: it won't end here. This is just testing the waters.

Outside of their stance of multiculturalism and assimilation, I respect France a lot when it comes to gender identity.

Instead of saying 'biological sex' can we find another term to use? We're all biological, trans or otherwise. The term has been used by terfs to discriminate against us, suggesting our transitions are unnatural and artificial.
Assigned/Birth sex would be more appropriate.

I sense this happens a lot with anything related to geek culture. It's as if people in mainstream outlets don't treat this stuff with the proper respect.

That makes sense. Still, not the first time he's done this and while I respect him, it is coming off somewhat aggravating.

The same thing is happening in America right now. As a British citizen I can only watch and weep for what could happen.

Tell me about it! Both times on the PS4 and Switch were utterly magical!
I struggled a lot with Unicorn Overlord. For me, 13 Sentinels is Vallinaware at its peak.

Every other Daily Show Host has been pretty great throughout this.
John Stewart otoh, has been frustrating me. I don't get why he's both sidesing this thing. This isn't helpful buddy.

And our political parties here will undoubtedly take cues. Not that things here aren't also terrible, but it's going to come for us eventually.

Less pleased that the last disc on my blu ray set is inexplicably smudged and froze for most of an entire episode. They don't make these things to last, despite what Discotek says about how long they should!

It might not be! I live in the UK and there's no way it'd be that expensive here! Possibly a good 40 pounds which for two old games is a lot. That said the HD style is lovely. But yeah I agree. I don't AAA much anyway.
