It gets worse: The TOS of these apps suggest that when an image is used as a base for a prompt, it is within their right to collect it as training data. Some of them even have binding arbitration. i.e you can't sue them. This is crowd sourced data scraping.

Beyond this specific use, doing lineart in a monochrome layer has a few bonuses. It has better performance (each pixel is literally 1 bit, on or off), and fill bucket becomes less fickle because it makes boundaries super clear! You can always get your aliasing back later with a glow effect/blur.
