I am one of those paid workers. I am one of thousands who will lose my job if this happens, and because I am taking care of family members I cannot work.
I am old enough to remember jokes about the elderly eating cat food, I suppose we are headed back to those times again...

True, yet you state the importance of the DOE then decide to sit back and do nothing while it is dismantled. Who exactly do you represent?

So will the lawsuits do anything? It seems as if all these bad actors get slaps on the wrist and then go on to do more bad things…

So what do you plan to do about this?

Useless response delivered too little, too late.

The letterhead is the wrong color. The alignment of the agency name is incorrect. I will assume really bad fakes until proven otherwise...

No, my Dem. senator has been in lock step with most Cabinet votes. What is happening right now is unprecedented and the usual norms must be overturned or else we stand to lose this democracy.

Mexico also sent firefighters and disaster recovery specialists.

If my representatives were communicating the way you do it wouldn’t be so maddening, but the complete silence is the place where my mind seems to go right now.
The question is, how far does Musk have to go before the GOP says, “Enough!”

Are you prepared to help all Californians with the inevitable price gouging to follow the implementation of tariffs? Especially to protect us from SCE and PGE?

I was reading elsewhere that Maine has a symbiotic relationship with Canada and Canada supplied Maine with power and other essentials.

None of this is headline news in America, so unless you are here on Bluesky the information is not readily available.

I just got back from a country with a $30+ minimum wage. No poverty and still some billionaires. These things do not have to be mutually exclusive. They are dancing on the edge of recession, so it is not perfect, but they are trying.

You are just trolling now, aren’t you?

But what are you going to do about it? Platitudes and positive social media posting?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with these posts? Can you take a break and try to save democracy or some other productive task?

And what are you doing about this?

If you are not standing for it does that mean you are sitting down and hoping it gets better before the midterm elections?

So what are you doing about it?

No, you own this. You are just as culpable as Trump and Musk. Read the room, your constituents no longer trust you, your judgement or your ability to govern.

Cool, what exactly are you doing to protect democracy? I live in Santa Clara County, the county and my city are out there every day telling us how they are protecting our rights, but I don’t see much action from DC.

Nope, do not agree. If they are too old and out of touch to understand how to function in this era than they need to start handing the reigns to a younger generation.

Yet I can’t trust him to walk the talk and oppose his nomination, I have lost all faith in him to do what is right.

Failing to understand why Congress is silent but my County’s Executive Officer had a press conference today. What are they actually doing right now?

Today I am yelling at all of them, including my state representatives. Until I see a politician actually DOING work rather than posting platitudes I no longer have faith in any of them.

I left three years ago. Every time I look at the news I see a memory burned to the ground. I guess you can never truly go home again...Wishing you and yours the best during this time...

These magical services exist, and I have one. I also have no illusion that if hundreds of homes around me are burning they will somehow magically save mine. What is happening is unprecedented and if a fire this large happens where I live I will be glad just to save my dogs.

Earthquake warning system alerted the Bay Area for the event in Humboldt. Interestingly enough, not the one in Cobb, which is closer and happened about the same time. Nothing happening here except Tsunami warnings, which I assume won't effect me in the south part of the South Bay...

Take Cobb. Take Kelseyville, too. Just spent the worst week of my life there. Dare you...But, spare San Jose...

Nightmares. Hallucinations. Sundowning. Medical professionals gaslighting you about symptoms and their management. Fear, anger, paranoia and love, all in the same afternoon. Insomnia. Forgetfulness is the easy part, as a society we don't talk enough about disease and dying and what they look like.
