Hi, random poster here - but as someone who has struggled to stay asleep for more than about 45 minutes at a time for most of their life - can confirm the banana about an hour before bed works a lot more than it doesn't for me. No idea if it's purely placebo, but I'll take what I can get.

Ahh - you are right - I misread the original post as dealers not makers - Ima delete that post. Cheers.

I haven't read the article yet - but from experience just getting to one on one face to face engagement with anti-ccers, even if it starts off in bad faith, often leads to genuine good faith engagement and opens eyes. Fair to say that is probably true for most things though.

...and their company balance sheets.

You were in the top 3 numbered boxes locally before the salmon farm move (seriously, seriously dumb move) - so you're not in the top 3 anymore.

Yeah, right? It's actually hard to keep up with so much of it, everytime I look it's some new shock.

I bet he genuinely believes he's seen nothing morally wrong. I bet they all think they're morally righteous with every molecule they're made of.

😀 They get a 1 in the box from me too.

Definitely, I mean they've focused on putting the unintelligent in charge of intelligence agencies as well. Maybe they just don't understand words?

Nailed it. Almost every photo of someone in the US convicted of animal cruelty - seems to have a Trump banner or MAGA hat in shot. There was the one acting as a go between for animal torture videos on request I think last year that actually kept me up for days. They thrive on cruelty.

The US used to be called the worlds police. Now it seems to want to be the worlds mob... ...or is that the worlds Russian mob?

The whole right wing lowering of taxes on wealthy is a nasty political tactic so that if they lose power, they can then hit the next government with the debt issue bludgeon forcing the next government to raise taxes which they can then use as another blugeon.

This is kind of the horrible silver lining of the US turning fascist, is that it's made every right wing and fascist adjacent politicians in other western democracies lose all of their stable footing.

"Can global agriculture abruptly transition from the world’s single largest emitting economic sector in society, to become a major carbon sink, in less than 10 years?" The kicker for me is that we've seen that even exhausted farm land can become regenerative carbon sink farm land in 5-7.

If the US survives this and somehow has fair elections next time around and manages to not re-elect autocrats....one of the priorities needs to be restoring experts, intellectualism, science and education as a foundational pillar of the US.
comment in response to post
How about we transition Putin through a stone wall?
comment in response to post
Part of all great autocratic movements, entangle the state and religion and weaponise religion to serve the state rather than any positive message the religion once had. It's sick on so many levels.
comment in response to post
Never thought of it like that. A total social abusive relationship to convince people they're not worthy, so openly tell others in a passive way they're not.
comment in response to post
I love them. They're such characters.

Terra. Continental Planet. Home of the spice, cinnamon.

There is scenario in all this where the USA ends up as merely a mercenary group for Putin, likely to contain China while dismantling the US.
comment in response to post
I think we're in a stage of global order upheaval where we're staring down just varying degrees of worst case scenarios at the moment. Big dramatic sustained moves and efforts required to get out of it.

I really wish there was a button next to heart button that acted as an “I’m not liking this post, but I have my heads in my hands in solidarity with everyone who is exhausted from trying to get people to understand how bad this all is and it’s getting worse.”
comment in response to post
Fox Viewers are MAGA viewers. They’re already suckling the teat of bullshit. Not sure what the intent of this is?
comment in response to post
I’m over hearing things like “I don’t like the news, so I avoid it” or “I don’t like politics, I’m not about that.” That wilful discarding of self sovereignty and awareness just does not compute.

Sensitive is a type of classification. Also - I can't believe we all mocked the shit out of them with 'WhAt aBoUt hEr EmAiLs' posts and they've actually gone and unironically used it....
comment in response to post
It's almost like people overcoming their challenges together and supporting each other is a better and more wonderful thing to show, and better for social cohesion in general.... ...NAH! Who am I kidding, Let's see more backstabbing and drama and lives ruined...etc etc

How we ended up with a non-news business running most of the news in Australia confuses and scares the heck out of me. Also ... what the fuck.... again ... in that bit at the end about Pell...

The Felon Putin Puppet Propoganda photoshoot was shortchanged by a behind the scenes photo showing him wearing urine proof pants while standing on puppy potty training pads as he once again wet himself realising he has no fucking clue what he's doing.

Indeed - May is going to be a very interesting time.

Post gamergate generation, fed & educated on online conspiracy theories in echo chambers, now removed from their digital world & seeing the real one for the first time? A modern allegory of the cave? Maybe they deserve some sympathy here - but try as I might - I can't bring myself to even feign it.

100% - but I don't think they see it that way though - I think they legitimately see non-maga as non-american.

Why do all of them look like they are just disgusted at having to be in the presence of humans?
comment in response to post
Hahah! Holy shit. I'm going to have to do this.
comment in response to post
Trump called it Teslser....is that a lie? Or is Musk going to now reband?

That he is saying there is no routes or flight plans greatly underestimates adversarial intelligence. If you have the platform used, the go time, the strike time, you already know where your sites are you so you can reverse an area for launch with known locations and defend those vectors.

Ahahah! His bamboozled expression was priceless!

Yeah - it's not just noise and distraction - it's neutering systems at scale isn't it?

The people who want this, only want this because they know their kids won't be affected.

Wow. It is something else isn't it? Thanks for sharing that.
