53, liberal democrat of gen x, academic, edtech nerd, and relapsing TTRPG fan. Throw in movies from most eras of film and the occasional 80s hairband guitar ballad. Mix thoroughly and pour over ice because most days everything hurts.

Her response was epic though.

They don’t care because in their minds they are all just “down on their luck” billionaires themselves who are just one great idea away from taking their place at the table. 🙄 They bought the con, hook, line, and sinker. Easier marks never met.

So we are going to put the fox back in the hen house and post signs that he needs to not steal again. Did I get that right? Half measures. Half measures is how this all fails.

Okay, and… Great words; what’s the action to follow? Words are pointless if there is no call to action.

If Collins is voting no it means they don’t need her vote. They only get to “vote their conscience” if they aren’t needed to ram things through.

Short answer? Yes. They are spineless cowards doing the bidding of the orange tyrant.

Lemme see, nope still none to give them. Maybe they can pick lettuce or strawberries since now there’s no one to do that work.

So that’s what I do. I drink scotch whisky, I help build communities through accessible education, and I know a few things. To my European peers this must seem silly that as wealthy as the US is, that we have an education problem. But we do and it’s getting worse.

I chose to come to a struggling school in a struggling community that is 80% minority and above average in the number of residents living in poverty. I want to make a difference for the community and provide opportunities to others that I was privileged enough to get without struggle.

It serves the national interest to have an educated workforce and education beyond high school is proven to improve economic opportunities, self esteem, and builds communities. I believe everyone, no matter who you are, deserves the opportunity to learn and to do it in a format you choose.

I do this at an urban community college with a team of three amazing individuals. We manage the online learning platform, training, and technical support for all things teaching and learning. Why do I love it? Despite what some believe and spout, education is a public good.

So he’s going to Chamberlain this sh*t?!?! This is going to get so bad. If this stands, we can say goodbye Ukraine, Moldova, Slovakia, Romania, and eastern Poland. He’s going to sell all of them out next. Putin wants the Iron Curtain and Warsaw Pact back.

I’m just pissed at how ineffective and inactive blue leaders are being in organizing the people. Reps should be calling the people out into the streets at this point.

Great start to restoring the status of America if we were still in 1912, which is to say useless and insignificant on the world stage. I wouldn’t buy a used Pinto from this lot, not a single one of them. They are all rotten to the core and hellbent on selling us into slavery to our enemies.

Assuming that this was sarcasm, I get it. They aren’t going to do anything because Trump’s bootlickers and diaper changers are in charge of both houses. The only thing Dems can do in the house is refuse to support any spending bills and hope that enough freedom caucus yahtzees join them.

I’m waiting for the pearl clutching and promise that, “he’s learned his lesson.” That’s when we know she really means “business,” aka caving to the tangerine turd.
