It's more than disinformation. This is a sign of in-group panic. Dominant groups fear they are losing their "liberty," because civil rights/equality/equity is a zero-sum game. This fear is often reflected in gross overestimation of the subordinate population. Character limit makes this brief

I read this quickly, but it seems like this would prevent federal grants for research on systemic racism or other forms of inequality. This issues are important generally, but have become critical in health-related research.

It applies to entities receiving federal funding (they cannot use federal funding to pay for DEI/CRT/Intersectionality, Gender training. 1. Won't pass now 2. Could pass later (horrible) 3. Issues are 1st A, Eq. Prot., statutory civil rights, and best practices for public and private sector.

If people make nuanced and fact-based arguments, this shouldn't be a problem. The greatest stumbling block in today's political discourse isn't ideological bubbles or hateful people. It's data-free analysis. And we can "both sides" this one--but more so on the GOP side.

I don't -- because these issues intersect with class. Black people, for example, see class struggle as inseparable from class struggle. If antiracism only means "do not discriminate" w/out substantive equality, it is bankrupt. Also, racism is a leading factor why whites oppose soc welf policies.
