Expanding my #BoltAction motorpool with my 3D Printer. Turns out the file’s scale was noticeably bigger than the #Warlords model kit - so played around with the scaling and much happier with the second attempt #miniatures #wargaming #nerdlings

Few weeks ago saw a random Reddit post in the middle of the night saying their #FLGS had 50% off prices for all #BoltAction stuff and they shipped Now I get to work through a perfect kit of #terrain for French towns tables #wargaming #nerdlings #miniatures

Big eel news! Recently uncovered frescoes at Pompeii contain eels. Because of course they do. Eels are everywhere in European history. You just have to look. This is a pair of lovely morays. To paraphrase Garth Brooks, sometimes folks wonder what happens if two morays never come. But here they are.

Testing out some #d&d #miniature terrain set ups alongside ogre raiders and their hill giant hill boss. The local adventurers (and their pet owlbear) confront the band on a country road Might have to try this farm-lane, heavy tree set up a try for #boltaction game too! #nerdlings #wargaming

Introduced two of my regular #D&D group members to #Frostgrave yesterday - we use minis in D&D but it was both of their first time with “actual” tabletop #wargaming It’s cold here and we’re already doing #Frostmaiden campaign, so I busted out jungle terrain #nerdlings

thread with @aoc.bsky.social’s advice for this moment, and it involves calling your reps. not sure how? use 5calls.org (they have an app too).

Coincidentally assembling English Civil War Calvary on the 376th anniversary of #CharlesI ‘s execution - morbid coincidence! #wargaming #nerdlings #history #miniatures

realized it’d been about 20 years since I painted an actual #SpaceMarine and that I’d never painted an #Ultramarine I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and might try some other Chapters with the dozens of other unbuilt mono-pose Intercessors I own #warhammer40k #nerdlings #40k #miniatures

I feel seen

Moments before disaster…American paratroopers cross the road in front of a lurking Pak40 already issued the “Ambush” order. #boltaction #historicalwargaming #wargaming #nerdlings

3D printed Pak40 and crew ready for the table in a few hours. It’ll be my first #tabletopgaming of the year and only 3rd #BoltAction game ever #Nerdlings #historicalwargames

Artillery crews ready for an Earthshade wash - we can see the light at the end of the tunnel for this project. #BoltAction game in 2 days! #Nerdlings #Wargaming #miniatures

Have any #BoltAction players ever actually seen artillery / mortar units “fire smoke” in v3? Needing to follow the normal “zeroing in” rule even though you’re firing at the ground is a bit punishing imo. Or maybe I’m underestimating how powerful more reliable smoke would be? #nerdlings

Really great desert-themed dungeon terrain set up at yesterday’s session! Definitely snuck in a couple pics of my PC mini before we started. #nerdlings #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #d&d #terrain

Getting ready for a #BoltAction game next weekend! #nerdlings #wargaming #miniatures

Couple of skeletons and a Red Wizard of Thay-inspired necromancer. These skeleton 3D prints are great - but I’ve definitely broken a few from just how thin the material ends up. #nerdlings #dungeonsanddragons #d&d #miniatures

If you need help to get into the holiday spirit (sort of...) you should have a look at these fantastic articles by Frank Becker about battles in northern Germany during the winter of 1813-1814. Miniature painting, terrain and photography of the highest standard on show here. #wargaming
