There's one in my Lidl's parking lot! (Ok, the park & ride by my Lidl, but it's connected to the Lidl and everyone drives through it to get to the Lidl.)

Yeah, my toddlers would cry because I'd cut up a sandwich after they asked for me to cut it.

Thank you for including a source screenshot. I was over here wondering why there were suddenly so many posts about a Confederate general.

I assumed that it meant "lost 95% of their chicken population held in Arizona" (as opposed to the company's chickens in other states), but your reading of it could be right & is 150% more horrifying.

Is there a reason that so many storms seem to break & either miss (roughly) this area or hit it with significantly less strength? Some weird geometry that places it in a funky zone between the water to the east & hills to the west? A confluence of rivers? A witch's blessing/curse?

They'll probably deny a visa / entry if they crawl through your socials & find anything against Trump, Musk, etc, too. (Mind: Not said to excuse this - or any of it - but thinking about horror stories from entry, etc.)

fwiw, another thing I don't rag on him about is his voice (b/c spasmodic dysphonia's not something he can help), especially given that there are so many aspects of his personality on offer.

Do you ever listen to Behind the Bastards l? @iwriteok.bsky.social has been doing a fine job of sprinkling in unfortunately politically relevant episodes. I've been listening to his duo on Karl Schmidt while gardening on this fine Sunday and, woohboy -

Hell, just experiencing human-scaled development in Germany radicalized me and I lived near Stuttgart (notorious for being a v car-centric area in Germany - see: "Staugart"). ("Stau" meaning "traffic jam")

Sometimes I'll put on Who Framed Roger Rabbit when I want to hear my husband rant about how big oil & big auto strangled robust US mass transit in the grave.

My Mom was diagnosed w/stage 4 breast cancer (spinal column) last year. I got some blowback from family b/c I told my teens, "This cancer will kill her if something else doesn't do it first. We don't know how long she has, but it's a few years at best, not a few decades. Be with her while you can."

"Four and a half decades hasn't been long enough to give it a fair shot. Five decades! If we double down on our efforts, the magic will *blossom* at five decades!"

Ron Swanson's even a conservative libertarian, he just managed to not be an absolute raging dick to people.

"Ok, how about I randomly mostly leave for a day or two so you wonder if you've been imagining me this whole time. Then you can spend a bit of time acting like I'm never around. And then I can come back and sit on your chest for a week 🙂"

I've known a number of not-Trumpers who are disabled & live in v rural (& v red) areas b/c it's what they can afford (esp in Appalachia). A number of them have leaned pretty hard into getting inexpensive products delivered (b/c of mobility issues, etc). My heart hurts for them in all this.

I appreciate you clarifying that. It's something I _knew_ but that flittered its way out of my head for some reason when writing my reply, & it's *the most* important component of the acronym.

You might know it as child porn. It's sometimes/increasingly called CSM (child sexual material) to differentiate it from porn involving consenting adults.
