I love the drawings in Common Side Effects. Every scene has a design or a shot of animation that is full of personality and charm. It gives me that feeling of going to an animation festival and seeing really visually inspiring work.

I really, really enjoyed The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I’ve rewatched it a few times now. Excited to see what’s next for Sam Wilson in Captain America: Brave New World.

Someone dubbed audio from The Bear over H.E.R.B.I.E. and The Thing footage from the FF trailer. It’s pretty funny.

I’m watching some more of Rebel Without A Crew. It’s a great show for anyone interested in storytelling. It’s really cool to see how Robert Rodriguez approaches each scene of the story he’s telling. Great stuff.

Terminator Zero on Netflix is the best Terminator anything since T2. Go watch it!

I’ve got a looping motion graphic running from NOW until 9pm ET on Twitch. This is a test stream so I can try out OBS. If you’d like to check it out, here’s the link: www.twitch.tv/weibcomics

Go watch Comic Culture on PBS! Really enjoying this show! www.pbs.org/show/comic-c...

I’m genuinely blown away by that Superman trailer. Phenomenal stuff. It’s very hard to do what that trailer does. It’s edited wonderfully.

Absolutely cannot wait for tomorrow’s Superman trailer!

Loved the first two episodes of Creature Commandos. My favorite thing about the series is the Monster, aka Eric Frankenstein, has a lip scar that doesn’t resemble a cleft scar in a shitty way.

Tyler Hoechlin & Bitsy Tulloch are two of the best actors to ever portray Superman & Lois. I don’t think we’ll ever see a pairing with their particular chemistry ever again. The S&L finale gave them both a helluva lot to do. They delivered really killer performances. Gonna miss this show.

The series finale of Superman & Lois is tomorrow. This final season has challenged the characters in really interesting ways. Cannot wait to see how the series concludes. Please catch up on this show if you’re not up on it. It’s fantastic.

Human vs Hamster Holy shit. Go watch it!

Working on my graphic novel today. I’m coloring the last two panels of a conversation between two old friends. They’re standing in a sci-fi office that overlooks a desert. I like this location’s color palette. The next time it appears it’ll be moonlit so I’m gonna miss using this palette!

I’m working on my graphic novel tonight. I’ve been working digitally for the majority of this book. I’ve been drawing looser and looser pencils. The pencils I just inked are the loosest I’ve done so far. It was a challenge to draw with ink but I’m happy with how it turned out!

A.P. Bio is streaming on Netflix! I love this show. Go check it out if you haven’t seen it. You won’t be disappointed! The premise alone is genius. I was amazed no one has done it before. The situations this class gets mixed up in are so funny and clever and pretty bonkers.

Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is consistently hilarious. It’s my favorite podcast as of late. If you need a laugh, check it out! This week’s episode with Josh Brolin is hilarious and really interesting.

I haven’t deleted my Twitter account, but I’ve decided to steer clear of it for a while. I’ll be spending more time on here and Threads.

I just proofed a couple print-on-demand items: A sticker and a print I plan to sell these through my website. Very pleased with the print quality on both!

This is good.

So recently, I downloaded Glaze on my laptop. Thankfully Glaze runs on it. I’ll be glazing some preview panels from my WIP graphic novel this week. :) Super excited to preview the look and feel of the book! Hoping to share those glazed panels in the coming weeks.

Very happy to see all the discussion about different formats in comics over on Elmo’s hell site. I think self-publishing is where we’ll see risks taken and progress made in that area. I hope the Big 2 continues to explore different formats, though.

I’ve earmarked some preview panels from my WIP graphic novel that I plan to share. These panels don’t feature my main character, but they give a nice hint of the look and feel of the book. :)

Here are the two things I wanted to do with this piece of Conan fan art: -I wanted his costume to sport ORANGE, brown and yellow to echo Marvel’s Conan comics from the 70s. -I love Frank Frazetta’s Conan. I wanted to channel Frazetta in my own way with background details and textures.

I am having so much fun following the color script for my WIP graphic novel.

My favorite panels from my #WIP #GN are turning out to be…my main character and her sidekick spending time on their spaceship. There’s a very heartfelt moment between my MC and her sidekick on that spaceship that I’m very much looking forward to drawing.

I don’t plan to do any straight-up Kirby imagery like Kirby Krackle in my #WIP #GN. The 4 panels that feature my main character’s spaceship do feature a hint of Kirby Krackle in the engines firing. I toned it down but it’s there if you’re a Kirby fan who’d notice it!

The Deadpool And Wolverine trailer is hilarious. That’s my favorite part. It’ll be cool to see Wolverine bouncing off of legit funny dialogue from Deadpool and others, I’m sure. Disney’s/Marvel’s marketing dept. is really hitting it out of the park with this film’s trailers and posters.

I’m knocking out the four panels that feature a starship flying through space in this sequence from my #WIP #GN. I love the way Darwyn Cooke drew Earth in The New Frontier—Those clouds! So that’s definitely influencing the way I’m drawing alien planets. Really fun.

Really enjoyed the first two episodes of Sand Land: The Series! The second episode in particular is a lot of fun to watch.

Putting together comic book sample pages and sample pin-ups. Exciting!

Today was a bad day. Very bad. On the plus side, Conan O’Brien’s appearance on Hot Ones was the pick-me-up I needed. Watch it if you haven’t yet. Conan’s completely unhinged in the best way. Absolutely hilarious stuff. No one commits to a bit like Conan.
