Why do they make politicians do cosplay - hard hats, lab coats, army helmets etc - it’s demeaning to them, to the professions involved, and to us. Please stop.

As a European I just can't get my head round this. A family member had a mini health scare a few weeks ago - scans and specialists all arranged in a couple of weeks on the NHS and it cost precisely nothing. They were OK too btw.

If you’re attending the White House Correspondents Association dinner tonight, be sure to come prepared with a joke about the toddler cancer patient they just disappeared despite her being a citizen. Otherwise it’s going to be awkward when you’re mugging for photos with Stephen Miller.

I’m thorough-thrilled (i.e. extremely) that my novel has been chosen for the Richard and Judy Book Club with WHSmith. I feel immensely lucky.

That's a good boy! ❤️

I think if you’re getting a chubby standing in front of The Three Graces the problem might not be the statue. Try not jizzing at EVERYTHING, you alt right saucepots.

. @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social is bang-on Disabled people, carers, pensioners risk being treated like suspects by default. Don’t punch down. Let’s look up & deal with the billions being asset stripped and price-gouged from above.

A burst of summer-like warmth is on the way for many parts of the UK next week. Temperatures could rise as high as 27C locally.

Bravo these 60 Labour MPs! The letter suggests further Brexit trade barriers could be removed through a Canada-style deal involving a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) on conformity assessment, allowing standards of goods to be tested in the UK before export. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...

In trying to end a war, the last thing you need is someone who (a) doesn't know history and (b) puts their ego first. How terrible for the people of #Ukraine that this man has a say.

Could the reason be that the people in charge of space programs nowadays can't count?

If we are going to be disappearing people, can this annoyingly simple-minded goblin be next?

I LOVE YOU YOU PAY MY RENT.

Bluesky is collegial and interesting, the way Twitter used to be. Bonus: most people can spell.

Twice Two (1933) is the second of the three #laurelandhardy films where Stan and Ollie play dual roles. Ollie, a Brain Specialist, and Stan, his secretary, married each others sisters. Meet Fanny Laurel and 'Sis' Hardy (voiced by Carol Tevis and May Wallace). 🤐

Julia & I are taking turns on top.

Sat in the doctors waiting room so had a go at drawing the Beatles

Happy St George's Day. A reminder that half of England is owned by less than 1% of the population. Some of these aristocratic landowners have inherited land since the Norman Conquest. England needs land reform and a strong Community Right to Buy! whoownsengland.org

I knew about the changes in China and I’m still totally blown away by what I’m seeing. The air is clean right in the middle of Shanghai, with a population of 29.9 million. Tens of thousands of electric scooters as well as busses, vans, taxis and cars. It’s very quiet and not stinky.

We all recognise smoking kills , that's why tobacco ads were banned in 2002 . Fossil fuels kill too & according to a study in BMJ , cause 5.1 million deaths per year . Help me ban fossil fuel ads for good– sign my petition to force a Parliamentary debate govpetition.uk/700024

Lovely review of the new tour in The British Comedy Guide this week. It mentions that the previous tour is a good companion piece; if you want to see that show here’s the link to the special we did of it… youtu.be/ELVehvpeMi4?... UK/Ireland tour dates on daraobriain.com

Brexit is bad for our health (as predicted). There’s an urgent need now to repair the damage done and get health research and provision back on its feet. www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

Easter Sunday always reminds me of the gift shop at a cathedral near Palermo, when the woman in front of me said: 'Oh, and a man on a stick, please.'
